Let's talk about pregnancy/labor! You can answer these for just your youngest, or if you are feeling up to it you can tell us about all of your children.
Did you have morning sickness?
If yes, how long did that last?
Any other pregnancy complications?
How long did your labor last?
How much did baby weigh?
How long was baby?
Did you deliver morning, afternoon, evening or night?
(and from Mommy2Dakota) Did you enjoy giving birth?

You always think of such good questions!
Did you have morning sickness? No. Had slight nausea but I went mad on eating ice lollies which seemed to relieve it.
If yes, how long did that last?
Any other pregnancy complications? Towards the end I had 'pelvic pain' which made walking up and down stairs painful and getting out of bed.
How long did your labor last? I always forget if it was 6hrs 5mins or 5hrs 6mins! lol. Pretty quick though.
How much did baby weigh? She was 5wks early and weighed 5lb 5oz
How long was baby? Hmm, don't recall.
Did you deliver morning, afternoon, evening or night? 2am so morning! The MW's brought us tea and toast, but it was cold and yukky! lol
Can I add a question of 'Did you enjoy giving birth?' I did. I even said I want another one whilst still waiting to have stitches (well, just one). Makes it even sadder for me that I have been waiting so long when I loveed being pregnant and giving birth.

I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

For Sierra
Did you have morning sickness? nope. My ex did, but I was never sick
If yes, how long did that last? he was sick until about the 13th week
Any other pregnancy complications? I got the flu in December and went into premature labor because of the stress on my body. I wasn't due until April. The remainder of my pregnancy I was on meds to stop labor and restricted activity levels. Then the last month I was on bedrest.
How long did your labor last? 13 hours and 25 minutes
How much did baby weigh? 6 lbs, 4 ounces
How long was baby? 18 inches
Did you deliver morning, afternoon, evening or night? morning. 5:24 pm
(and from Mommy2Dakota) Did you enjoy giving birth? I did. I had convinced myself it was going to be much worse than it was, so I was pleasantly surprised.
For Will
Did you have morning sickness? YES! So severe that I was hospitalized!
If yes, how long did that last? until week 16 or 18.
Any other pregnancy complications? Not really. Had back labor and didn't realize I was actually in labor. That caused labor to last much longer than it should have.
How long did your labor last? I was in L&D for 24 hours and 40 minutes before I delivered. I went in asking for pain medication for a backache. Without knowing it I had been in labor at home for 3 or 4 days!
How much did baby weigh? 7 lbs 14 ounces
How long was baby? 20 inches
Did you deliver morning, afternoon, evening or night? late afternoon.
(and from Mommy2Dakota) Did you enjoy giving birth?Again, yes. I didn't need an episiotomy (sp?) this time, and I didn't need any stitches either. I was feeling great within 10 or 15 minutes. I was at the amusement park 9 days later! lol

It was a very long 4 days. The first two weren't too bad. It started with tiny contractions, a couple times in a few hours, then a little stronger ones every few hours. Then the third day they got stronger and closer together. They didn't get any closer than 30 mintues apart until the middle of the night, of course. Then they got down to every five minutes that night. I almost had to have a c-section cause I wasn't progressing fast enough and it was stressing her. My water hadn't broken on it's own, so they broke it. I think she was born about 6 hours later.
I didn't handle it very well towards the end, I was only 21 and didn't have any idea of what to expect. I had a fever and she did too. But everything turned out fine.
I wonder about how a second one will go, too. When I first met dh said he didn't want me to have another one cause he didn't want anything bad to happen to me. So cute...I told him the odds of something bad happening to me are really slim. He gets very upset when I'm not feeling well. His way of showing it leaves something to be desired, but at least I know he cares.

Mine was a surprise as I woke up at 7am on the dot, swung my legs over the side to get up and my waters broke all over the bed and floor! Being 5wks from my due date I wasn't too sure what was happening and I was totally alone as hubby works nights! We had joked about how he had better make sure he had his phone on him in the coming weeks but YES typically THAT night he had left it at home! I phoned the MW first who told me to come in to hospital then I phoned my mum as it was pre-arranged that her partner would drive me as my hub doesn't drive. She told me to put a sanitary towel on (for the leak! lol) and that she was gonna have a cup of coffee etc first!!!!! I was like Whaaaat???? Then I phoned my husbands work and apparently he was grabbing some shopping (we work in a supermarket) before coming home and when he got the news he just dropped it all and ran! LOL - Wish I could have seen his face!
Once I was at the hospital I was only having very small contractions and it wasn't until 8pm that they kicked in. I have to laugh at myself as I was sat in my hospital room flicking through my pregnancy book to the 'labour' section as I hadn't got that far yet! I didn't even have any nighties (which my SIL brought new for me that day) and my 'hospital bag' hadn't been finished as I was only just on Maternity leave and had planned to do all that in the next week!
Then the funniest thing during labour - I would feel that wave of pain like backache and feel really nausea's...but when it passed would be stuffing salt'n'vinegar crisps inbetween! The MW's (who were quite young, like 20's) looked at me like I was mad! lol
And my hub was saying 'mmm, think of a cheeseburger' in my ear to take my mind off of it all (as advised on a 'giving birth' dvd I have, saying to think about 'good things' lol)
The worst bit was having a stitch afterwards. Apparently I only needed one....well, at first they said none then juust one and wanted a trainee to 'have a go'. Took bloody ages and was stinging down below! Man can you remember how hard it is to pee for weeks afterwards?
