If you have tips for staying focused, share them here.

~ Take pictures when you start, and then at regular intervals during your journey. You may not notice the difference until it is staring you in the face. Also, a big help with this is to try to always take your pictures in the same outfit so that you can more clearly see the changes in your body.

~ Don't JUST weigh yourself. There will be times that you are losing inches, but the number on the scale doesn't change or goes up. It's easy to get frustrated and give up in that situation, so seeing the inches drop can keep you focused.

~ You have a goal in mind, but getting there may take a while. If you don't feel like you are reaching your goal quickly enough you may feel discouraged and quit. To keep that from happening, set smaller, mini goals. When you reach one, set a new one.

~ Reward yourself! Decide now that you are going to buy a new outfit, get a manicure, go to the salon and have your hair done, date night with DH....whatever.... just a reward at certain points throughout your journey. Like every 10 pounds lost or each time you reach your mini goals. It needs to be something you won't do any other time though. Doing this many times helps you push yourself to achieve your goals faster!
