OK, so I am doing the Slimfast diet! What I love about it is the simplicity! The order in which I might have my dinner and snacks might vary (because of work shifts etc) but the daily guide is the same.
First weigh-in was 168lbs
Goal is - 126lbs
Difference - 42lbs
BREAKFAST: Slimfast Milkshake (strawberry, vanilla or banana)
SNACK: Apple or other fruit
LUNCH: Slimfast Milkshake (strawberry, vanilla or banana)
SNACK: Packet of crisps (I get a cheapie store brand which is only 95cals, 0.8g sugar and 5.6g fat)
DINNER: The one thing I have less control over as hubby cooks and I like having our 'family meals'.
I also have some 'diabetic' toffees (ie sugar free and only 18cals and 0.6g fat) which I use to stave off hunger pangs! Useful at work when waiting for my tea break! Only have 2-3 a day.
DRINK: Water at work. Flavoured water at home. Occassional diet coke and fruit juice in morning.
EXERCISE: Rowing machine at home, swimming.
FEELINGS/COMMENTS: Feeling pretty good cos I had a bad week(emotionally) last week yet didn't break my diet! Feeling pretty strong willed and looking forward to weighing in again next week!

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

I managed to do some rowing machine working out Sun night (usually Dakota just wants to play on it instead). Then Monday managed to go til 10am before having my first milkshake. Had pasta tv dinner with fries on the side (oven cooked) for dinner about 1pm. Had one sugar-free toffee as something nice after dinner!
Had my second milkshake at 4pm before leaving for work. Managed to drink quite a bit of water so was proud of myself for that!
At work I had my break at 6.30pm. Bit early (usually about 7pm) and I was naughty! I found a penquin bar (a small choc biscuit bar) in my locker and couldn't resist! I ate it along with my crisps and apple. But figured it was the start of the new weigh in week! lol
Was hoping to go swimming Tuesday but got an email saying a parcel is coming today so unless it comes before 12noon can't go
Maybe Wednesday? But we also usually do the grocery shop Tuesday which will also have to be postponed til Weds for the darn parcel! Typical!
Maybe I'll do lots of rowing instead when D's at school?
Feeling pretty good so far mentally. I know shouldn't be talking ttc...but usually I am at my lower point in the 2ww but I am feeling pretty positive right now...must be diet helping giving me something to focus on!

I've been considering for a while now getting some dark chocolate miniatures for a chocolate treat since I think it will give me my chocolate fix & it is SUPPOSED to be healthier than milk chocolate. I just haven't broken down & done that yet though.
Sorry about the whole parcel thing. How's today going? Any better?

Look for Xylitol chocolate. A company in particular is called Plamil...but I am not sure if they deliver U.S? But it IS easier to get Xylitol products where you are than here...anyhoo...Xylitol is a healthy sugar substitute so their choc has 'no sugar' and I just looked at their cals and fat and I *think* they are pretty good, esp if your only going to have a square or two. (a bar is 45g and there was 606cals and 45g fat in a 100g. therefore a 1/4th of a bar would be 70cals and 5g fat)

Today had banana milkshake at 11.10am (went grocery shopping first!) then a packet of crisps (chips as you guys say lol) at 1pm. Gonna have a loverly piri piri pizza and fries for dinner at 4pm and then I've got my fruit and milkshake allowance for later.
I'm so pleased with myself! Brought cupcakes for hub and D and I was in the kitchen sipping water when hub deliberately ate one infront of me making extra mmmm yum noises! lol
I wasn't tempted...well, maybe a little, but so far I am more happy with my loss and want to continue! I weighed myself this morn (I know, I know, gotta stop doing that!) and have lost another 2lbs so that is keeping me well motivated. Planned to go swimming but as I am a bit nervous going alone hub convinced me to hold on til Friday when he SAYS he will come too! I did some rowing machine exercise instead though...and at least thats free!
Looking forward to chilling and reading a new book when D gets back from school in an hour.
Had that friend who is friends with the other gal that is pregs talking to me whilst shopping. She was going on about how bad Katy is with morning sickness but should be better when she gets to 12wks. That almost brought me down (in mood) and I was a little angry how she can blatently talk about pregnancy stuff knowing how hurt I am at still ttc...but, blah, I'm ok. This diet stuff is really helping me cos I just push negative thoughts away with thoughts of that instead.

I almost cracked and had a cupcake after dinner!!! I was thinking 'well, I'll skip the fruit'....but then I looked at the sugar/fat/cals in just one and changed my mind!
I had an orange instead!

Friday. Milkshake early (9am) so we could do some xmas shopping. Then cos of Af starting was too sad to care about eating and had nothing until dinner at 4pm. Pork in a new-recipe-sauce with fries.
Think I had three toffees after as facied something sweet. Was tempted to get hub to buy me some chocolate but resisted.
And orange and crisps later, about 6pm I think, then my last milkshake.
Saturday (today). Milkshake at 7.30am. As its my long day at work I allow Sat to be my 'naughty day' and had a cheese sandwich and twix choc bar and crisps at work. At home Chicken, fries and peas. Only a milkshake allowance left for later, prob about 6pm.
Feel better today than yesterday. Was even speaking to a pregnant co-worker without feeling sad or jealous! Keep thinking how great this diet is as I never really feel 'hungry' - yet. And with drinking lots of water I do actually feel much healthier and better already!

Well Sunday was a bad day but I still stuck to my two milkshakes and had roast pork for dinner. A pkt of crisps and a choc biscuit bar at work. A few toffees as I was down.

Did some rowing machine yesterday (forgot to add) ^
Today I work late so same food plan but re-arranged a bit!
9.30am Milkshake
2pm Dinner (grilled chicken, fries and baked beans)
4pm Second Milkshake
7pm (or when I am given my break at work) Crisps and Melon
I did nick one square of choc off Dakota as well.
Anyhoo, gotta a NEW digital scales today so feeling happier and back on track to sticking to my diet! Its glass AND really great, it has an option of weighing in pounds so I don't have to convert from stones anymore! yay!
I decided, mainly cos of it being glass, that I am packing it away in its box and stashing it somewhere safe between weigh-ins! Could have been D jumping on my old scales that broke it! Plus less temptation to dig it out and weigh myself in the week!
*************************
Weekly weigh in
First weigh-in was 168lbs
Goal is - 126lbs
Difference - 42lbs
Last week was 161lbs
This week (new scales, hopefully working ones! lol) 163lbs
Wouldn't be encouraging except for the fact my other scales were dodgy so yet again have to wait another week for a genuine result! Grr frustrating! But at least I am still sticking!

Well, good thing with the weight watcher ckn curry one...its delicious! Even hubby likes one a week. But we do add fries cos we find it not filling enough on its own.

oooh I broke my diet today!
Basically I had my milkshake early so we could have dinner (spag bog) early as we had Transformers 2 on DVD to watch when D was at school! I had two jaffa cakes straight after too!
So at 4ish I was getting hungry as thats when usually we have our main meal. I ate my bag of crisps. An hour or so later my apple. I'm due my last milkshake and trying to hold out until about 7pm....but I just grabbed a choc-chip biroche (bread thing) and ate it whilst in the kitchen!
I know why I am more hungry! Its freezing here today and I just haven't drank as much water as usual.
Plus been running around over the car. Had its MOT today, which it failed, which is OK and would have just taken it back Fri for repairs but it needs some welding done which our garage doesn't do so now we got 10 days to find a welder in the area! Urgh! Hassle! I've found one, just have to wait to phone it tomorrow. But was hoping it wouldn't be so much running around!
I do feel like having a naughty (more should I say) binge today! Hubby was waving choc under my nose saying 'just one, go on' and Dakota was trying to force apples, oranges and bananas in my mouth!
think I had better have my last milkshake and early to bed to resist temptation!

Waaaa, way off in the diet department today! Though not my fault!
had to take the car to a specialist for a welding job VERY early (8.30am) this morn. I didn't want to have my milkshake that early so allowed myself one slice of toast with a bit of butter (mainly so I could take my B6 and Maca Root).
Well, dropped the car off and decided to hang around some nearby shops while its being done (or else have a very long walk home!). Hub was thirsty so stopped in Starbucks. I shared a cheese and ham toastie with Dakota. They were small mini-toast-sized though. And then we split a choc-chip shortcake three ways. Sooo yummy!
Anyhoo, did some shopping - I treated myself to two pairs of jeans (one skin-tight that goes well with knee boots) WAS REALLY HAPPY I GOT INTO SIZE 12 instead of 14! Yeeeahhh!
Anyhoo.....took D to a park when we got the phone call....only they said it was worse than they thought and it was gonna be another hour (1pm instead of noon) AND more money *rolls eyes*. Well, we felt we had better get some dinner to pass the time and warm up so I had Cheesburger and chippy chips (chunky fat fries lol) AND a Dr Pepper - not diet!
Oh well. In some ways it was a nice day out and it was nice breaking my diet cos I was struggling but I feel like now I got that out my system I am more ready to be good again!
Not holding much hope of losing weight on weigh-in day though, but I'll be happy if I saty at 161lbs at least......?

Weird! But I drank some water before taking D to bed last night and suddenly felt really sick. Next thing. had to run and threw up EVERYTHING I ate. I mean everything cos I was dry heaving until I had blood and bile come up! Urgh!
Anyhoo.....guess that took some of the 'naughtyness' away?
Out of interest jumped on the scales this morn and was 159lbs.....but will have to wait and see if that stays for weigh in day?
