Have you set any guidelines as to when you will be done TTC? Will you quit after a certain period of time? A certain age? Only after a BFP?

Oh your asking tough ones today Stef!

Well, if by stopping it means going back on contraceptive then NO, I won't ever stop 'trying'. Mentally? I don't know. Every year that goes by kills me a bit more inside so eventually I am going to have to stop 'trying' - ya know, stop thinking about it and timing and charting etc. Not sure when that would be. I hope I get a bfp before I go down that road.
I've already given up mentally on ever having a third child. If my body needs 'help' then I will have to be happy with two.

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

Originally when I had Sierra just before my 18th birthday and then Will followed just after my 21st (back when I was naive and didn't have a clue what SI was) I said I would be done having babies by the time I turned 30. That's in 6 months. Obviously, I am not going to be done by that point. I have told Matt that I will never prevent again using birth control(regardless of whether we have another or not we have more) If we do ever feel the need to prevent I will be using NFP or charting to avoid. I don't see even that happening though.

Right now our plan is to try a few rounds of IUI during the spring/summer. If that doesn't work, we will be NTNP while we save up the money (or find loans) for IVF. My doctor has a cost share program. We will use that program, and will do up to 3 fresh cycles and as many FETs as we have embryos for. At that point, if we are still not pregnant we will be done. We won't prevent, but it looks like that by my 32 or 33 birthday we will be done trying.

My plan was that if I wasn't pg by Dec 09, that I would adopt, I'm so glad that I didn't get to make that choice
We're ntnp right now, but I likely won't ever do infertility treatments again, and we'll just hope for the best, I've only got 4 fertile years anyhow. If I do manage to get pg, I suspect I'll have a tubal with my next c/s, as four kids will be enough!

I don't exactly have a choice anymore and that really hurts. I had all my babies by c-section and have been told I can only handle one more. I don't want to push it after our next, I can't do that to John and my kids.

Man, you've had 5 c-sections! Go you!

We'll never go back on BC again... it really messed me up & I'm not sure what our stopping pt is. Unfortunately I think we are coming up on it though. I'm going to meet with the RE first to see what he says & how much everything costs then make that decision but right now I'm thinking maybe a few rounds of injectables & that's it but like I said I really don't know at this point. I need to at least see the RE first to decide.
