I'm going to attempt to keep up with the calories/fat with these as well just to gauge what I eat. I also am not dieting really but am monitoring what I eat & will hopefully make adjustments in the future but the beginning especially this will kinda show me how many calories I typically eat a day then I can adjust accordingly.
Monday, November 23rd:
BREAKFAST: Oatmeal (342 calories, 6.5 g fat)
SNACK: N/A... yes I probably should eat a snack & will maybe work into that
LUNCH: Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich (420 cals, 15 g fat)
SNACK: N/A
DINNER: Chili (very rough estimate of 392 cals, 18 g fat... most of which came from the Ground Chuck )
SNACK: N/A
TOTAL CALORIES: 1136
TOTAL FAT: 39.5 g
WATER: 33.8 fl oz.
EXERCISE: 21 mins on elliptical (burned 261 cals according to the elliptical), 35 mins playing volleyball with DS
FEELINGS/COMMENTS: I'm proud of my first day! Now if I can keep it up!
FOR REFERENCE: According to SparkPeople daily goals for cals is 1200-1550, fat is 32-56, carbs is 163-236, & protein is 60-127.

They say here that a woman needs 2000 cals a day (if at ideal weight) but to lose weight usually between 1200-1500 cals so your on the right track!!
I know your like me with fruit an veg but I'd try to throw an apple in there for a snack! Or pineapple (for ttc benefits too)

Actually my day was a bit off yesterday... Austin had a dr's appt. I did snack on apples often when I was pg & I also thought about buying some oranges this weekend for next week's snacks. I did find yesterday that by lunch & dinner I was STARVING so I def need something in between. I typically eat snacks though not healthy snacks... usually popcorn or smores! YUM! But I'm trying to be good!
Tuesday, November 24th:
BREAKFAST: Oatmeal (342 calories, 6.5 g fat)
SNACK: Apple (130 cals, 0 g fat)
LUNCH: Leftover Chili (392 cals, 18 g fat)
SNACK: 2 slices toast w/ Apple Butter (200 cals, 1 g fat)
DINNER: Lasagna (general estimate of 127 cals, 4.7 g fat)
SNACK: N/A
TOTAL CALORIES: 1191
TOTAL FAT: 30.2
WATER: 49.8 oz!
EXERCISE: Elliptical, 20 mins, burned 250 cals ~ 35 mins playing volleyball with DS
FEELINGS/COMMENTS: I did really good on the water today. Yes, I know it's not quite the 64 oz I SHOULD be drinking but my goal was to drink 1 L or 33.8 oz & without trying too hard I drank almost 50 oz. Woo-hoo!!!

Actually Amanda, popcorn isn't too bad if you buy the light butter kind. Of course, I love the extra butter lovers kind. lol But once you get used to it, the light butter stuff isn't half bad. I also frequently snack on pretzels, baked chips, nuts, and fruits/veggies with lowfat or fat free dips.
Also, with the chili, you mentioned how most of the calories came from the ground chuck. A really good way to change that and make it a much healthier. Instead of ground chuck or ground beef, try using ground turkey. You can get the 93% lean type at WalMart (and most grocery stores) for about the same price as ground chuck, and it's MUCH healthier for you. It's also really tasty. Matt and the kids didn't even realize I had switched until they saw the package in the trash! Now the whole family actually prefers the turkey. If I use ground beef (I got some on sale really cheap recently) they say it tastes weird. I really think it's because of the fat!

Okay, today's Thanksgiving so it is def an "off" day!
Thursday, November 26th:
BREAKFAST: Chocolate M&M Muffins & a glass of milk (rough estimate of 490 cals, 16.2 g fat)
SNACK: N/A
LUNCH: Turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, & a caffeine free coke. YUM! While yes I ate a lot of variety I did NOT over-stuff myself which I probably usually do! (now this is an over-estimate but 927.5 cals, 17.7 g fat)
SNACK: N/A
DINNER: Munched on some turkey & had cranberry sauce (305.9 cals, 4.6 g fat) & a magic cookie bar for dessert
SNACK: N/A
TOTAL CALORIES: 1741.1 (not including the magic cookie bar)
TOTAL FAT: 38.5 (not including the magic cookie bar)
WATER: 33.8 fl oz
EXERCISE: Elliptical, 20 mins, burned 249 cals... man was the workout difficult this morning!
FEELINGS/COMMENTS: Considering it's thanksgiving, I think I did rather decent (it def could have been much worse ). Oh, & I did real good with the water today b/c if you notice I had milk with breakfast & a coke with lunch where I typically drink most of my water but today not only did I have milk & coke but had my full serving of water! Go me!

Yeah, I'm not really sure but that website Steph gave us to try out, SparkPeople.com, I joined. I'm still learning my way around but it appears that according to it I'm exercising too much OR not eating enough so essentially I'm starving myself. Go figure!
I do think I'm doing well. Besides right now my main goal is to just eat regularly but track my calories & fat just to see what I'm eating & I have already made minor diet adjustments, trying to eat a little healthier!
Friday, November 27th:
BREAKFAST: Oatmeal (160 cals, 1.5 g fat)
SNACK: Chocolate M&M muffin (95 cals, 3.43 g fat) Okay, yes I had an M&M muffin this morning but I did GOOD. There were still a few left today & I only ate 1. I controlled myself! Normally I would have eaten more than 1 so I did good!
LUNCH: Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich, Cranberry sauce (506.1 cals, 15.1 g fat)
SNACK: Popcorn (shared between me, Mike, & Austin so I figured my share comes to 20 cals, 1.5 g fat)
DINNER: Turkey sandwich (389.8 cals, 9 g fat)
SNACK: N/A
TOTAL CALORIES: 1170.9
TOTAL FAT: 30.44
WATER: 33.8 oz
EXERCISE: ~21 mins walking/hiking backyard trails
FEELINGS/COMMENTS: Tomorrow Mike has already said that we are having a bon-fire & are going to roast marshmallows & hot dogs over the fire for dinner, which is my absolute favorite wintertime activity so eating healthy isn't going to go over well tomorrow. Well, I think I'll do the best I can till supper but I refuse to skip it altogether.
