I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

Are you/have you tried anything different from previous? We weren't expecting anything to happen so we didn't do anything different. Quickly going from scared about the possibility to giggly!

LOL, I remembered something I was supposed to put under the 'done differently' topic and thought 'how could I forget that?' and, well, come here and have forgotten again!

Must confess...I am not 100% sure what 'cups' is/means? I saw something once about 'cups' that collect your menstrual flow rather than absorbs it like towels and tampons??? lol

OH..just remembered I am temping from 'below' instead of mouth this cycle (and from now on). I used to worry about how breathing through my mouth might alter my temps. I also find I don't interrupt my sleep as much as when trying to balance the themometre under my tongue!
Surprisingly though my temp range seems to be the same? I thought it would be *ahem* much warmer ya know?

That's them!!! They're the same thing but using in TTC efforts just means that instead of holding the blood back, they are holding spermies closer to the cervix. Softcup Fertility Aid by Instead

Oooh that sounds very interesting - I am tempted to try! But I am not very good at poking around down there...I only tried tampons a month or so ago (must say, they're not as impressive as I expected. I had thought I was missing something good all these years using pads) and I have never had a - whatsit called, coil or anything inserted so looking at that cup I'm just thinking HOW the heck do you get it in and out?

I had that same thought looking at those things. I can't see how you'd get them in and if you managed to do that I don't see how you'd get them out without making a mess. Tampons are as complicated as I get in that region.

I use the instead cups for my menstrual flow too. They resemble a diaphram, and that was my choice bc before ttc. So these are a piece of cake for me. I know what you mean about the mess, but its nothing like the mess that is constant if you use pads, or the stabbing feeling that I get from tampons. The other good thing is that since the flow is still inside and hasn't hit the air yet there is no bad odor like you get with pads and tampons. I couldn't get through af without them. And I like them for ttc too.

So, excuse being TMI but to get them in and out you do just have to liiterally dig in and find an edge right?

Yep, and once your good at it, its really easy, I have even got it down to where I don't spill anything. Sounds nasty but the girly stays clean and I can wash my hands. I also use those pre moistened wipes. Not for everyone, but I have been using them for almost 13 years now.

Sounds good, although I can't see myself getting to grips with them...had enough trouble trying to get contacts in and out my eyes and had to give up and stick with glasses! PMSL
