My ex and his wifes home is infested with bed bugs. They have had the problem for 3 years now. They have called in orkin and terminex but its to costly for them to spray. Although it doesn't seem to bother them to get a payday loan for material wants.We have been very careful about the kids and their clothing. They transport their clothes in secure plastic bags. Well somehow they have been transferred to our house. My dh and my ds are covered in bites, yet the only evidence I have found is one skin and one waste trail. Because of it, I am not sleeping. In the last 5 days I have gotten maybe 2 hrs of sleep a night because Im too freaked out. I don't want to live like this, and all the research I have done makes it seem hopeless.
I am so mad at my ex right now I could spit bullets. I will get my home sprayed and fumigated and dusted, until they are gone and we don't get anymore. I also plan on telling him that the kids can not stay at his house until he gets rid of his infestation. And that I will go to court if I have to.
Im embarrassed by this, and disgusted. Everything I have read says that it has nothing to do with cleanliness but I think people automatically assume that it is. We are not messy, but we do have some clutter. The other thing I have read is that we will have to get a storage unit and store our unused belongings for 18 months, the length that the bugs can live without feeding.
I am in tears most of the day, and find myself googleing the heck out of this. IM even wondering if ttc is the best thing right now.

Well today I go to my parents house and cry about this. I haven't told them about it and Im not looking forward to it. Even less Im not looking forward to having to ask for help money wise to get it taken care of.

I have written a letter to my ex that I plan on sending to him, his parents and my parents after I talk to my parents. I will be calling the exterminators either tomorrow or monday. I pray that this will take care of these nasty vampires. I need to sleep again, and my children deserve to live parasite free.

Have I said how ticked I am about this?

So on Fri, while I was at walmart, before I went to my mom and dad's. My Dad calls me and tells me that he found me a lamp and told me about it. Of course I have had very little sleep in the last week and you could tell. He says He kiddo whats wrong, Are you ok. I said no, but I will tell you about it when I get there tonight.

So fastfoward, I get there, tote and plastic bags in tow(because I don't want to transfere any little vampires with me) and Mom says "I hear your not ok" then asks me whats wrong. I said look around MOm, what do you think. Her face dropped and she said "Oh NO" then I started crying and we spent the evening talking about it and her letting me cry about it.
She is going to pay for the exterminator to come and take care of things, but as I assumed she would be, she is insisting that the kids not go over to their Dad's house at all.
So I have a call into them, they are suppose to call me today with a time that they will be coming out.
I will be perfecting the email, and sending it to my ex within the next couple of days. Which I am really not looking forward to. But its like I was telling dh, here I am sitting worried about whether or not he is going to be mad, and really Im the one who should be mad.

Hey Renee. God that is such a difficult predicament as it is out of your hands to fix. I think you have every right to ban your kids from your ex's house. Don't feel guilty or bad.
