Its a day SHORTER than last cycle! And thats with 300mg B6 AND the Maca Root! Thats what kicks.....I just never ever get to at least 10 days!!!
And I am sooo frustrated that the docs insist that because I was breastfeeding up until June that that could still be doing this to me. I've had SEVEN cycles with NO nursing and yet still not reached at least 10dpo! I'm so mad...I feel like storming back to them and shouting LOOK, there is something WRONG with me and I want it fixed!!!!!

Doesn't all of that take a few cycles to really fully make any changes? Any chance you could see a different doctor?

Well, I been taking B6 since March 2008 and I took Vitex for about 8mths. Maca I just started but most people seemed to say (online) that if it worked for them then it worked in the first cycle or so.
When I first used 200mg of B6 I did get an extra day on my cycle but the next cycle fell short again...thats why I thought I'd push it to 300mg this time even though it causes minor nerve damange (I have had numbing and tingles with it - but it isn't a permanant damage).
The Maca? Well, it could work with more use? Plus I got my Soya Isoflavones to try this cycle...but it just seems like NOTHING is ever gonna work. Even Clomid when i finally get it may not work.
Our system here means we can see different doctors within the local surgery but cannot go to different surgeries outside our area. I've seen two regarding this and as my notes are on their system they both said the same thing about waiting really.
I am to have my 21 day bloods done again this cycle too. That will be interesting. Last time I made sure it was 7dpo but my doc got mad at me saying HOW do I know I ovulated when I said (she disagreed with OPK's and Temping meaning anything) and said I was supposed to have it on CD21 regardless (ie not 7dpo) so thats what I am going to do this time. As my progesterone drops 7dpo and was just a 5 last time she said I prob don't ovulate at all...but if I have it on CD21 but that is only 5 or 6dpo then maybe it will show a higher progest level before the drop? Doesn't change my short cycle but would prove I do ovulate?

At CD 21 maybe it'll show you did O or that you really didn't? Could it be false ovulation? Just be sure if they put you on Clomid that you don't take Vitex for a few months first. The two don't get along. It's a huge no-no to take one while the other is at all in your system.

Oh I gave up on Vitex months ago so no risk of a clash there!
I get to try my Soya isoflavones from tomorrow though so I am feeling a bit better now. Always get very depressed and 'grieve' for a day or two when AF arrives!
I was thinking...I have tried to tackle my low progesterone all this time by taking things to increase or balance progesterone......but maybe the fault IS withn the first half of my cycle? Or as well as? Maybe a stronger ovulation (either with Soya or Clomid) will make the whole process 'correct' and make my corpus lutem make the progesterone its supposed to? So basically the fault is with a weak ovulation rather than after ovulation? Something like that?
Wish me luck with my Soya!!!!

I hope the Soya helps. My problem was with ovulation last time. My estrogen is lower than it should be so it was really weak and the eggs just were no good for pregnancy. Definitely a possibility.

Yeah I was looking at my charts today as I just printed all of 2009's off to take when I go back to the docs and I did wonder if my pre-ov temps should be lower (as is estrogens job).
Well, only time will tell.
Maybe you can help me with this though.....should I take my Maca Root this cycle with the soya? Only Soya is supposed to trick your body into producing more estrogen but Maca is supposed to 'balance' both estrogen and progesterone....sounds like they conflict do you think?

How much soy are you taking hun?
What soy does is when you take it, it suppresses the hormones and as soon as it wears off (roughly 10 days from the last dose) WHAM! Super ovulation! I took 160 mgs and oh lord did I feel O this time!
If you want, I can try and did up some more information on it for you. I've seen many women on another forum get pregnant on it within 1-3 cycles.

Thanks Motherfrog!
Thats interesting...I kinda knew what it was supposed to do...but I didn't know that about wearing-off-and-WHAM. lol
My bottle is called Estro Balance and contains 55mg of Soya Isoflavones so I figured i'd take 3 tabs for 5 days (CD3-7). Was worried that might be too much (165mg) but hey, I am ready to throw ANYTHING at my problem now! I just want to see results. If not a BFP then at least a good lengthy cycle to prove its possible!
But my bottle (per pill) also contains:
Vit E 20mg
B1 2mg
B2 2mg
Niacin 20mg
B6 10mg
Folic Acid 400ug
B12 6ug
Calcium 150mg
Selenium 70ug
Boron 1.2mg
Date and Magnolia extract 150mg
Black Cohosh 40mg
Times all those by three for 3 tabs! Just hope none of those other things are bad-bad for ttc? But its only for 5 days right?
Oh yeah...and I found that Black Cohash and Maca don't mix so I won't take my Maca...but I did wonder whether to take the Maca Post-ov instead? Or just use the Estro Balance to see IF that does anything on its own?

Oh yeah...based on that info I figured I am gonna take it CD2-6 instead as I want to ovulate sooner (ie maybe CD16) than later. Plus I have read its better to take it at night to reduce feeling side effects and its 6.40pm here now!

Had no side effects from the SI! Sounds like you have a good mix there, I wouldn't do the Maca though. Maybe next cycle? Around O time all I got was massive cramping, almost worse than AF but I have O problems because of my prolactin anyway, so I'm hoping that my levels are normal and that the SI kicked my O into over time. That better be what it was!

Where are you in your cycle now?
I did wonder whether to use Maca AFTER ovulation? Cos the SI is only before? But maybe its better to just try one so I can see if it 'works' on its own and combine next cycle?
Anyhoo. Thanks Motherfrog!
Did you notice any increased cm? Someone said they got loads more - although some sites say it makes it dryer?

I went from barely any CM to massive amounts of it, there was no way not to miss it! No one that I've spoke to has notices a lack in CM at all, most of them had massive amounts like me.
I think I O'd on Saturday, that's when I had all that massive cramping. AF is due on the 6th of January, she better not come!

Thats great! I really need some proper cm! LOL....only HERE can we talk about such things!
Thats another reason why I think I have been tackling my problem from the wrong end (ie Progesterone not estrogen) cos I have very scant cm and not really anything I could ever call EWCM. That would be because of a lack of estrogen wouldn't it? Cos estrogen makes cm?
Anyhoo! Goodluck for getting past 6th Jan! At a guess my test date should be 19th Jan. (if I even get that far I'd be jumping for joy even if bfn!)
