uh Where did you get the information about LPD and prolactin? I'm on meds for prolactin and wasn't aware of LPD, just the influence it has over estrogen.

prolactin can affect your whole cycle.

For a rare few women, though, LPD will be caused by thyroid problems or hyperprolactinemia. Hyperprolactinemia occurs when there are abnormally high levels of prolactin, the hormone responsible for milk production, in a woman’s system.

you do seem to be one of the rare cases because you have to take continuous medication for your prolactin. i took one little tablet and all was well.

Jo: was the cream bio identical. it must be bio identical. SOLAL comes with spoon and it has worked every time for me. if i want to bring on AF i just use progesterone for a few days and then stop it and it comes.

Motherfrog: Yep, well, cos i was breastfeeding I found articles in relation to prolactin and LPD through that. Prolactin is connected to your pituitary gland and suppresses progesterone. Agnus castus is supposed to work on that pituitary gland to make it produce progesterone naturally. I forget now! My half-sis had luck with it.
i was still breastfeeding when I tried it so I do wonder if maybe it would work now I am not? but its hard to know WHAT to try now as I don't want to mix things up and yet also don't want to try things I have tried already that didn't work over something new that might!

Jenn: I'm not sure what bio identical means? I know I looked up loads of stuff and there was stuff saying if it came from yams it wasn't any good or something. My creme is called BIOVEA. Here...I found it: PROGESTERONE CREAM 100ml by BIOVEA®

Uh I'm totally opposite of that article but thanks for sharing it just the same. AF is either on time or late by a day or two. I've had rare cycle where it was 40 some days but I was prednizone and massive antibiotics that cycle. Almost a week before AF, I get all the PMS symptoms. I don't get a light AF either, she's wicked. It's always been like that, even before my kids. With the Hyperprolactinemia, I just don't release an egg.... yet.

I forgot to mention I have broke out in lots of facial spots. Is that a Soy side-effect? I usually get them only before AF?

I haven't broken out at all. I normally get a spot on my chin right before AF, it could be the rise in hormones hun.

Interesting. Wonder why that is? At least its a heads up!

Hope the spots mean the Soy is doing something? I've also been quite hot and restless the last two nights. My temp night before was unusally high and, due to sleep distubances, decided not to temp this morn. Hoping I get a proper temp tomorrow morn!

Oh yeah...just been sick today too...though can't say if related or not? I don't really feel ill or anything.

Jo, some of the other girls I talk to bout the soy say it effects your temp pretty much like clomid.

As long as you are bd'ing don't worry too much about it Jenn! Could be the Met snd things bringing your ovulation early? Or you might be one of these people who can ovulate twice?
Did you hear about that pregnant woman who got pregnant AGAIN whilst pregs? lol..weird!

Anyhoo...messed up my temping again today (see cycle buddy thread) but what does Clomid usually do? I thought my temps would go much lower rather than higher?

Just adding an update on differences this cycke - cos of SI?

So far I have had face spots which I don't usually get until before AF and they started the second day I took Soy (and still here but going down at CD12)

I've also had more cramping and even a low down sensation that if I had got whilst in the DPO I would be thinking hmm? Implantation? But LOL as I haven't even O'd yet its a bit strange!
Still waiting to see if I O earlier or later or feel anything stronger?

Just updating here.

Really hormonal lately, exhausted, increased CM, and eating a lot more. I could be PMSing but this has been going on since 5DPO and got worse at 10 DPO. AF is 5 days out.

Thanks! Keep updating!

I had a right-hand ovulation pain last night and another mid-section cramp but I still think O is a few days off. I missed temping this morn but I am using opk's too. I expect to O about CD16.
