Heya Jade! Glad its going well. I've switched to trying to eat healthier (fruit and nuts) rather than limiting what I eat. Seeing how that goes.

Motherfrog got a BFP!

As for me...well..seem a tad stuck right now cos my hub won't do a sperm test
and my docs won't give me help with my cycle until he does!
He's promising to give up smoking, take herbal remedies (ahem..what have I been doing for the past two years? grrr) and all sorts...he's so sure he must have low sperm. I said 'but if you get tested and are fine you won't have to change'? Crazy! And frustrating!
The 'plan' at the mo is...well...he's made me buy progesterone online for $74 to correct 'my' prob and then if we still get nowhere THEN he'll have the test - he SAYS. grrr

I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

well you know smoking can lower your sperm count.. also if he doesnt give it up it might not change til he does.. or he can take something to help maybe.. but it would rule ne thing out if he would just man up and take a sperm count test.. i had a friend in the same boat.. her hubby didnt want to take one either.. but then she found a home kit.. and they didnt have to go in to the dr for the test.. but came to find out he didnt have the problem at all.. but the dr put her on clomid.. and in her second cycle on it she got PG.. but her hubby still made a fuss for nothing.. just was bein a big baby about it.. lol.. men are like big kids..

Well, he did a home test a couple months back. It was GOOD. It was like top of the scale good! It tested for 'amount and mobility of sperm - whether there were at least 20million/ml good ones'.

But obviously the docs can't take our word for that (plus I think a proper test actually looks at the sperm as I hear they can be 'deformed' with age) and until then I can't get MY help...and we know that I defintiely have a problem!!

But maybe...well...maybe we'll get lucky if I take Soy as a Clomid replacement and Progesterone to extend my cycle???

I know! Thats what I thought when I allowed him to try the home test first. I thought it would give him the confidence to have a proper one done!

I guess I just have to wait. I don't want to force him to a point of arguing. We've agreed to try it this way (soy + Prog) for a couple of months first. Even though I am dying from waiting so long already with ttc....I guess a couple of months isn't too much to ask from HIS point-of-view. But...once I use up my progesterone I am not taking any more excuses! I want to get a BFP this year!!!
