Hello.. my name is Becca. I am 36 and mother of 4 children.. here is my story!


First I will say that my 1st 3 children were conceived the 1st month of trying and my 4th was a "surprise" !! I have never had a problem getting pregnant EVER! "Fertile Myrtle" was my nickname..

My children are: 14, 11, 6, 4

I have been wanting another since my youngest was 2. Finally in August my DH was onboard with having another.. we conceived right away and I was so happy! Well, at 6 weeks I lost that baby. ( September '09) we waited the recommended cycles and we have been trying since.. still not pregnant! I am getting very discouraged and have no idea what is wrong with me. I did go see my OB and he is not concerned, he did a U/S and everything looked normal. He told me he wouldn't even start tests until September.

I just don't understand why I am having issues..

I'm sorry they're making you wait until September. I imagine it's really hard for women who have never had a baby to begin with, but it's a whole other story when you've had no problems and then suddenly nothing works. Did he mention what kind of tests he'll run?

no he didnt say... just said he would start doing some testing.

Its horrible when you have had NO problems before...and then all of a sudden you do! I had no idea, my body is failing me. I feel broken.

I would assume at the very least he would test your hormone levels. I'm curious why he's making you wait until September though. Usually if you're 35 or older they start testing sooner rather than later since age in itself can affect things on top of other problems that may be causing difficulties.

And you said it perfectly. It's like being broken.

(((((((hugs))))))) Welcome, I am new here too. I'm so sorry your doctor won;t try testing yet. I am in a similar position, I am not a priority for testing because I have 2 living children.

I really hope you are blessed with a BFP soon x x
