Is anyone out there still enjoying their ttc attempts? I feel like I'm just going thru the motions sometimes. Okay, bedtime, time to BD, go to bed, do it again tomorrow. No more spontaneous BD moments ya kno? Grr so frustrating! The first baby it took us almost 2 years but I mean we still enjoyed trying and now it's been another two years of trying for number two but I feel like it's turning into work! It's so aggravating becaz I dont want this to mess us up but I feel like it may be creating a crack in my marriage even tho we both want another child! Anyonw feel like this at all?

Yeah, that's why we occasionally take a break and NTNP for a while. TTC.....especially when it takes over a year.... can really zap any relationship. The important thing is open communication.

In my case.... the first year we didn't even really talk about it. Then year two hit and I had already had a couple of miscarriages at that point and I was silently blaming myself. I was so sure DH blamed me to. When I finally just broke down sobbing and apologizing to him I found out that HE was blaming himself and felt that I though it was his fault too! I'm not saying that TTC got any easier, but by communicating, at least we know what each other is feeling.

we try to communicate but we're not very good at it. i kno he blames me. as do i. and we dont even know what or if there is a problem! i think if this month dont stick it may be time to take a break

Been there! We NTNP and tried to include more spontaneous BD into the cycle. I was so set on figuring out O for awhile we didn't do anything till I was close to Oing. For our relationship I had to allow more spontaneity. After O, I was parinod that BDing would cause my spotting to start.

After the 2 year mark I decided that for Lent I wasn't going to temp and wasn't going to use OPK's. I knew around when I O'd and could tell my my CM etc so I could still try to make sure we were DTD around that time but if not, oh well. The cycle I got pregnant I actually traveled the weekend of O. And for sure thought that we weren't going to get a BFP that cycle and just put it out of my head. Then I realized I was almost due for AF and hadn't started spotting yet and I got excited. Walla - preggo.

I know that feeling all too well too! And I know the feeling of difficult communication. We just came off a 6 month break & I will tell you that was the best thing I could have done... I am so refreshed & re-energized to enter the TTC world once again.
