I'm Anna (26), married to a wonderful DH (33), with 3 children (7, almost 4, almost 11 months) and a fourth on the way. My problems didn't really start fertility wise until after I had my second. When we were TTC our youngest nothing was happening. I ended up mentioning it to my OB who referred to it as secondary infertility and began testing. It turns out I have PCOS which is progressive and they suspect Adenomyosis. Both affect fertility. With Clomid we were able to get a BFP in just 2 cycles and our fourth is a postpartum surprise. I guess even with everything that's normally against us that postpartum boost is no joke.
Anyways, I would bring it up to your doctor or find one you feel comfortable talking to about the delay. Just a quick blood test or ultrasound could give you the reason for the problem or something more in depth may be needed. Whatever it is you can't know if you don't ask. We've all had our share of jerk doctors too so if you're met with anything other than eagerness to help you can feel free to vent here. We won't mind one bit.
