My oldest puts her own laundry away and we try to get them to pick up their toys at the end of the day. They're so young though that we don't expect them to do much just yet.

my son is 2 1/2 and he has chores. i get alot of negative feedback about it but i think its a really good thing for him. he is responsible for setting the table (with my help of course), putting silverware away after dish washer cleans them, putting laundry in the laundry basket, and cleaning his room. he LOVES his chores lol. he used to be really bad about playing with the dishwasher but now he has to put stuff away he leaves it alone. same as with table and laundry. he'd make messes and throw clothes around. but now that its his job to keep them in order he doesnt mess them up anymore! its really cute when he cleans his room too. i taught him 'clean up clean up, everybody everywhere, clean up clean up, everybody do your share!' i love watching him sing it

Yes - little things. Put things in his laundry basket, help with his bed (putting the gazillion stuffed animals he insist have to be up there back when I am done making it) and helping feed the dog. Other things he sometimes helps with is setting the table or making dinner/dessert.

I even give him an occasional allowance. He thinks it is great that he gets to put a coin in his piggy bank.

Not yet He's only 18 months. Sometimes I make him help pick up his toys, but that's about it at this point. As he gets older he will definitely have chores!
