Today is day 8 of my cycle. I had me period (very very light the last two days)...for 5 days. Today I started having cm. It's been pretty wet and not too too much..just the sensation of wtness there and a lil on my underpants. (pretty much clear)....then..after I peed, I looked in the toilet and saw like a glob of mucus......I thought I saw maybe a starand of blood in there....it was very hard to tell and of course I was INSPECTING.....I TMI TMI TMI ...scooped it out of the toilet to emxamine ( I know I'm a freak)....and it seemed very, well, mucusy....like snot...(tmi again)...I still couldn't tell if there was a trace of blood in it. Is this bad? What is this???? I usually ovulate mid cycle........which would be the 12-15 day of my cycle. I am on day 8.

It could just be leftovers from your period. Sometimes a tiny bit will linger that doesn't even count as spotting.

thanks...I figured.....I just have never looked so closely at my cm....now that I'm charting it's making me pay closer attention to everything

You could always note it on your chart so if it happens again you can keep track of when.

I am sure it is fine. If there was blood in it, like Anna said, it was probably leftover from your cycle.

Have you had any sinus drainage or taken any medication (like Mucinex) cause they will effect CM and might cause a mucus discharge like that.

no...haven't taken any mucinex.............is this still normal?

Oh yeah, there's nothing wrong with it. Not unless you have an infection or something and it doesn't sound like you do. At least you haven't described anything that sounds like one.

It sounds like left over from your period to me too. And completely normal as well.
