For those of you who have sought MA, when did you and what was the deciding factor in that timing? Was it helpful in determining the cause of your infertility?

For those of you who haven't tried MA, how long do you plan on waiting?

We are on cycle 10 now, and my current plan is to visit a RE if we have no luck by June. We a vacation planned out of the country in early June and my 12th cycle TTC will end mid June, so that is reasoning behind my timing. I know the general rule is 12 months if you are younger than 30 and 6 months if you are over 30, but I am right at that line (29). I would probably try sooner except that DH is rather opposed to the idea. His logic is that it was so easy for us to conceive Jack that we should be able to conceive #2 without help. So right now I am temping, using a CBEFM and just generally trying to provide as healthy an environment as possible for TTC (eating right, working out, getting enough sleep etc). And trying to be patient - which is currently killing me

I had primary infert, so within 6 months of DS1's birth, they had me back on Clomid, I was 33 at that time

I went to my Dr after 3/4 month of TTC because I knew someting was wrong. My Dr brushed me off and told me that it wasn't anything and to come back after a year of TTC. I switched Drs and got help again this past December. I was diagnosed with a luteal phase defect.

I initially sought MA after I went off the pill last summer, and did not have a period for 3 months. My dr put me on medroxyprogesterone to start my period, and then Clomid to assist in ovulation. I am not ovulating regularly. I was on Clomid for 3 months (only 1 successful month of ovulation) and the s/e were so awful, I stopped taking it. I am currently on my 2nd month of FertiliAid, which is an all natural supplement. It says to give it 3 months to reach full effectiveness, so I am trying to be patient, though it's rough!! If I do not get my BFP by May, I will go to an RE this summer, when I am off work.
