Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. My name is Dayna. DH & I have two children, 8 yr & 5 yr, with no problems conceiving. I was diagnosed with secondary infertility in the spring, after TTC #3 for 15 consecutive months (we started in Jan 09 for six months prior to DH's deployment overseas) and when he returned in Jan 2010 we started immediately. So after all of the testing my RE did, everything came back normal. He said that both DH & I are "perfectly healthy" and we fall into the 25% unexplained secondary infertility. He recommended Clomid IUI treatment. DH & I decided to give it a try, the natural way, for a couple more months and if it doesn't happen, then revisit doing the treatment. Well in September, I decided enough was enough and I was ready to have the procedure done. I'm currently on CD5, day 3 of Clomid and will have the IUI done in a week or so. This is the first time dealing with fertility treatments and I'm so nervous and excited.

Has anyone else, especially with unexplained infertility, done Clomid IUI? I'd like to hear some feedback regarding this.

Good luck Dayna! I haven't gone the IUI route yet so I don't have any feedback for you. I just wanted to tell you good luck.

Im in the same boat. 2 kids conceived no probs. We have been TC for 2 years. We apparently are perfectly healthy and should be able TC naturally. Well we have had 3 failed IUI's, but I havent had clomid. I was told that IUI's can take up to 6 attempts, but we are out of money. I dont know wether to have another few rounds (less invasive) or go straight to IVF which will work first go, but is expensive and really scary for me.

I have done 5 IUIs but with femara, not clomid. Our 4th attempt worked (but ended in a loss). Best of luck with the IUI! Any news yet?
