Hi there. My name is Audrey (30). DH(40) and I are now on cycle #5 TTC. I have one child from a previous relationship, my DS(11).
I just found out yesterday that I am not ovulating. My doctor would like to start me on 50 mg of Clomid. I'm thinking that I might wait until next cycle to actually start taking it. I'm just a tad bit over the suggested BMI for TTC. I thought that if I could shed 5-10 lbs I could get myself down to my suggested BMI. From what I have read Clomid is more likely to be effective if you are within your suggeste BMI. I have also read that it can also thin your uterine lining. I've had one suggestion of Red Raspberry Leaf Tea. I thought that it couldn't hurt to start drinking that before taking the Clomid in an attempt to strengthen my lining.
Any suggestions that any of you have to share are greatly welcome.
I am working on shedding some pounds too, I think it will help a lot. My BMI right now is in the obese range (but I still think I look pretty hot if I may say so myself, ha ha). Me, I am pretty sure I am ovulating. Recently, I've been reading a lot about when you should "try" (I don't know the right message board terminology yet) about four days before, two days before, and the day of ovulation. Apparently trying a few days before ovulation is really important!
I think you've got your BDing days down. I might recommend to you that you also try the Trying to Conceive board. That's the one I hang out on the most. The ladies on that board are so sweet, and you can pretty much get an answer to any question you can imagine. Not that I'm trying to discourage you from posting on this board. I post on both.
