Sick of the names on your list? I'm bored with mine..

For those with kids already, have you ever felt like you might've made the wrong choice with their name? Or gotten sick of their name? That is one of my fears.

my name list changes SOOOOOO much that is hard to get sick of them As for Avalon, I still adore the name and I believe I will forever. I knew right when I saw this name it was the name I wanted to use. I do understand about about the fear of getting sick of a name you choose for your child though, that is why I think I'm having such a hard time this time around I am still waiting for something to strike me and it nothing yett We have a few close runners though

These are the names that have constantly been on our list :

Bianca
Elaina -- with the nn Lani
Catalina
Mia
Eden

Do you think any of those sound good with Avalon?

I love Mia! That would probably be my favorite... But, I think they all go well with Avalon in their own way. Eden and Catalina go well with Avalon because they're all names of places... Bianca and Elaina both go with with Avalon just because they're all three syllables and similar sounding.. and Mia and Avalon sound good together because of the flow!

What's your favorite right now? Or are all those names tied right now?

I get sick of the names on my list sometimes too! I did the same thing with Alaina, which wasn't even on my list until about a month before I was due. I had picked out Delilah but then I just got tired of it and anything else on my list. I saw the name Alaina and instantly fell in love with it and I'm still not sick of it (although I think it's really hard to get sick of a name once you use it because its attached to someone you love). This time around is tough though, all the names I really really like for girls are too close to Alaina and boys are just tough for me!

thanks! That's one of the main reasons I picked Alaina because I loved Lainey but thought it sounded more like a nn

Some of them. I guess about once a month I get the itch to go through and cross off a few! Then I just replace them and the cycle starts again.

Jena, I like Catalina best with Avalon.

I like Mia, Catalina and Bianca the best. Mia is in the lead because my Grandma helped me come up with the name and I really wanted this baby named after my Grandma OR by my Grandma. Catalina and Bianca are tied....I question Catalina only because her NN would be cat and our last name is a bird.... And I can't get past the Cat (insert bird here)

Well, I've always wanted to move out there! I was kind of afraid to bring it up to dh lately since his mom is battling cancer but she is doing alot better now and he was the one to bring it up this time. If we do decide to move I want to do it well before Alaina starts school and I just think that right now is the perfect oppurtunity to go for it. I've been out there a bunch and I just love it! What area of Cali do you live in? We are thinking about San Diego.

lol...Our list has one name on it for a boy and two names for girls. It hasn't changed in years lol. My husband and I had to make some compromises on the types of names we liked lol. But, they're a secret. We don't tell anyone what our future baby names will be lol.

I get tired of the names on my list sometimes, too. I have to say, though, that my list has been pretty solid for a long time now. *Knock on wood*

Sometimes I get sick of names that I originally think I like but to me that just means it wasn't meant to be and I move on. I haven't gotten sick of my DD's name. We have also had a boys name picked out since before she was born and I am very used to it now, almost as if we've already used it, and I haven't gotten sick of it either.

Yeah my names have changed over the years. Once you have a child, you can't just change it and that scares me!

Im always changing my list. Im pretty set in stone w/ my boys name right now though (Jackson Alexander). I just LOVE it. But I wont be using it for a long time so it'll probably change!

I used to think, sometimes, why did I pick Mikayla? It wasnt on my list.. but it suits her and I honestly cant see myself calling her anything else. I wasnt completely in love w/ her name when we gave it to her, but I love it now and always will!

I do not think that I have EVER had a problem with what I have named my kids, but my list of names has changed a couple of hundred times aside from my name for a girl. We named my son Rylin after my husband's friend who passed away and the girl name would be after my grandma who passed away almost 20 years ago.
