Thanks girl. I'm trying, I've just got a million emotions going on right now, kwim. To top it off Matt came in while ago and said that we are on "standby" for that retreat next month. Apparently they overbooked, even though when Matt registered us, he was told that we were on the books, and all set to go. grrr.

I had already bought all of the stuff for Thanksgiving too, lol. Only thing is that we we're having a ham instead of a turkey. I don't like all of the leftover turkey, but i will eat the heck out of some ham lol.

I recommend Whiskey Creek. It's very good. It's basically just bbq and stuff like that. Nothing really out of the ordinary, but I get what you mean. My fil is like that too lol. You and I should totally go sometime.

That sucks about the retreat!!! I will keep my fingers crossed that it all works out. I know how excited you were about it.

I would have rather of done a ham but I wanted to use this opportunity to actually make a turkey. Which I have never done! So in a strange way and I sooo beyond excitied to give it a go. I know it will never be as good as my DH turkey but I hope that it comes out edable.

Last night I got the most Awesome news ever!!!!
My aunt and uncle have been married since I was 17. (I am 33 now, you do the math!) Have tried FOREVER to have kids. Mind you, my uncle is in his 50's my aunt is in her 40's. They just now made the announcement that they are FINALLY Expecting. Not only are they expecting but they are expecting TWINS!!!!!
My Aunt is due May 7th!!!! (16 weeks along!)
I actually thought they had given up!!! That just shows you to not give up the dream of expanding your family just yet! Defenitly talk to the specialist first!!

I would totally be up to go to Wiskey Creek with you! Although that is a pretty decent drive for you. If you did make that drive I would totally have to buy you dinner! Or maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle....(Topeka maybe? not sure what the middle is!) and have dinner. Ohh better yet, we can meet in Topeka, have dinner then head over to Winter Wonderland at Shawnee lake (In case you don't know what that is: A celebration of lights. Visitors can view over a million colorful lights while driving through a two-mile scenic holiday display at Lake Shawnee.) (Just saw a commerical for it, so it was on the brain. lol)

Well I guess I need to get off this computer and start cleaning. I have the FRG meeting tomorrow. Which I am totally ready for. (Possibly a little to ready!)

Any thing exciting going on for you guys this weekend?

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about the retreat, but who knows, someone might cancel and not be able to go and we will be able to.

That is such awesome news about your aunt and uncle! That seriously gave me chills! I know they have got to be over the moon excited about it. You're right, you never know. I've just decided not to get myself into a tizzy about it and see what the doc says and go from there. The Lord works in mysterious ways I've always heard.

I have found the best way to cook a turkey is in those Reynolds Oven Bags. Keeps them very moist and you don't have to baste it or anything. I'm sure it will turn out great for you!

I have never heard of the Winter Wonderland thing but that would be awesome!!!! Gabe would love it! Topeka is a little over an hour from here so if you would like we could do that. When I went to the Country Stampede we stopped in Topeka and ate at this little out of the way mexican place, it was soooo good and I can't remember the name of it lol. I really don't mind driving up there, though. How far is the Legends (that big outdoor mall next to the KC Speedway and Great Wolf Lodge) from you? Gabe has been begging to go back to the T Rex Cafe to get some more "dinosaur chicken nuggets" lol. I want to go do some Christmas Shopping there sometime. Just let me know when is good for you and we'll figure something out!

The only thing really we've got going on this weekend is going to see Harry Potter. Matt got one of his reserve soldiers to come and sit for us. Gabe loves her and calls her "Gabe's Allie" lol. It'll be good because it's been a while since we've had any alone time. I don't know if we're doing dinner and the movie or just the movie though. Other than that we are just going to clean house and hopefully start on the garage. We were going to clean it out last weekend but never got around to it. I'd like to be able to park my car in there before it snows lol.

What did you guys end up doing for your birthday? Did you have a good day?

Sorry its taken me a bit to get back to you!! Its been hectic around here!! I had my FRG Meeting today. (If you can call it that!) No one showed!!! I am happy because then I didn't have to deal with having all thoes people at my house but at the same time I am livid!! I was left to package up all the goodie bags for the single soldiers alone! I am left to go stick all those baggies in the barrack rooms alone. They do this EVERY time. Its nothing new with this group so I don't know why I am soooo surprised. Now they turn around and tell the Battalion FRG leader that our company Never does any things, they have never gone to an FRG meeting, and they have never been contacted by thier FRG leader. Then I get yelled at! I HATE all the wives of the woman in this company!! Thank goodness this deployment is winding to a close!!! I don't know how much more I can take! I shouldn't even be the FRG leader! That should be the darn company commanders wife! Not me! But she lives in another state so she couldn't do it! Now I dread my DH being company commander! I know he will want no one but me to do it and how can I say no? GRRRRR Sorry rant over!! I totaly did not intend to vent like this. But I do feel better.

My birthday defenitly started out interesting when my girls scared the poop out of me. It was a day full of ups and downs, that for sure!!! (You can read about it on my blog: Robins life as an Army Wife ) I did however take my family out for dinner on Thursday to celebrate. Which was nice because I had been CRAVING a steak! Then on Friday I bought myself a mcflurry from McD's since I never got cake or ice cream for my birthday. That actually made me VERY happy!

I hope you guys were able to make it out to see Harry Potter! I am sure you guys can use the little date night! How often do you guys get to go on little date nights? DH and I always say we need to do it more often then we never do.

It's 10:30pm! I still need to work on some homework. I have 2 assingments that I need to turn in by midnight tomorrow and a test to still take and I am just not getting the concepts. So I am complatly stressing over that. So I better stop procrastinating and get back to it! Talk to you later!

Hey, sorry I haven't been on in a while. I've just had a lot on my mind and have been in a holiday funk. This time of year is when I miss my grandmother the most and for some reason I'm just having a really hard time this year. That and I think I'm pretty well done with JM. (Nothing personal to anyone on the military mommies board)

That sucks about the FRG thing! I would have been livid too! That's just wrong. It's soon though so I know you are excited!

I hope you and the kids had a good Thanksgiving. Ours was pretty good. The inlaws ended up coming up anyway, and we had a good supper. Did the whole 10 pm Toys R Us thing Thursday night. It was interesting lol. Waited for over an hour to get inside the building, the line was really long and they only let 50 people in at a time. Once we got in and got what we wanted and got in line to check out, we waited for a little over 3 hours in that line. Oh well, at least we know Gabe will love what we got him! lol.

Since this is probably my last post, if you have Facebook and would like, you can add me, cynthia lynn zareel.

It's been great getting to know you! I hope we can continue to chat!
