What is one of the coolest experiences you have had as a result of being married to someone in the military?

Because I'm married to my husband who is in the military we were able to live in Italy. While that wasn't the coolest experience ever there are two that coincide with the time that we spent in Italy.

First, I got to go to England for the first time in 2010. One of my biggest dreams while growing up. It was absolutely amazing.

Second, I got to fly my dad out to Italy (twice) and my favorite part of his visit is the trip that we took to Rome. Rome had never really been on my must visit list, but it was absolutely my most favorite place in the world. It was the coolest experience to be able to see all that history with my dad.

If told that I could only go to one place or the other I would probably choose Rome again, and I recommend it to everyone I meet. I regret not going to Paris while out there though, I did get to see the French Riviera.
