Do you like where you are stationed?

I like it here. I only have a hand full of friends, but thats okay with me (less drama that way). We have plenty of things to do .. shopping, places to eat, a small water park, event every weekend, plus Dallas, New Orleans, and Hot Springs.

HELL to the No.. I would do just about anything to go back to Fort Campbell. I miss my house my friends and feeling secure. We live 15 mintues from post in Elgin and we had someone at 130 am throw a rock at the front door. Breaking the glass and freaking us both out. We have to pay for any broken glass due to renting. I hate the company we are renting through bit time. The lady is a huge B****. The town there is nothing to do not good stores. We have to drive 30 mintues to go to the "nice Walmart" VS the "ghetto Walmart". There is Sams, Walmart , Home Depot and Lows are the main chain stores here. I miss having a Starbucks on post and a Target and ToysRUs/Babies Rus.. We have to go to TX for that. Only 1 Starbucks in the whole town. Not fun at all.

I know a lot of people hate it here in NC, but we really like it so far. Of course after 17 months of living in Hell, I mean Del Rio, pretty much anywhere seems great. I like that I've found other moms who cloth diaper, baby wear, and breastfeed past one. There are a lot of things to do within 2 hours too including a major city, beaches, state parks, tons of shopping, etc. I'm still pretty thrilled to be living in an area that has a Target AND a Starbucks! In Del Rio, it was 2.5 hours drive to do anything beyond Walmart and Ross. It was awful.

I really like it here in WA. Everyone complains about the weather but I like the rainyness. We live in a smaller town but it's not a far drive to plenty of stores and restaurants. Plus I happen to have a couple family members living out here.

No, I really do not. The biggest reason is lack of good public schools. Followed by poor housing, loads of traffic, and a high crime rate off base. I did like our first four bases, and I guess they can't all be winners.

That sounds like here at Sill. We have a Walmart and I think a Ross 1 starbucks but it is almost a 25 minute drive for us. I'd love one on post like they had at Campbell. The city just agreed to put in a Target. Which I miss big time it is a 60 mile drive to Target in TX. I heard NC is a heck of a lot nicer than at Sill.

They should the military deserves a lot better than these crappy towns. It borderline depressing. I'm depressed being put in a high crime town my DH and I don't feel safe. We are looking into get a gun which I have never wanted before. But it is that bad here you really need one. We live off post in a nice area but it is going down hill too fast for my liking.
