We didn't do anything traditionally 4th of July-y.. We drove 3 hours (one way) to go fossil and rock hunting with some friends. Found lots of cool stuff, got to see Canada from across the water and got to see a part of the Pacific ocean for the first time. It was alex's first time at the beach, I mostly wore her in a carrier though. And she did super good for all the car riding. we heard tons of fireworks from our house but didnt really see any and Alex slept through all the noise.
Thanks to Bokkechick for my siggy.
We didnt do much. Since Josh is deployed, Dakota and I treated it like a normal 'off' day. I took him to the pool in the morning then to chik fila for lunch. After that we napped, cleaned the house, and played outside. We didn't go see any fireworks bc I had to work the next day and didn't want to be out late.
We did some chores around the house. We went Johnny's friends bbq's. Two friends with bbq's one right after the other. It was nice to get out. We were home before fireworks. Ellie slept through them and I cuddled with the dogs.
