DH is gone to AT for 2 weeks and (granted it is only for 2 weeks) I really wish he were here right now.My mom is going to have to have surgery at UAB this week or next.We are waiting to hear from the doctor with a date. She is 72 and we just found out she has uterine cancer on Friday. She had colon cancer a year ago and had surgery for that.
My daughter and my inlaws will be helping me out with Logan(he's 4) as I will be gone at least 2 days(Birmingham is 2 hours away).
I wish I could be more relaxed but I am really stressed right now.Having to be a "single mother" for 2 weeks, while working full time and then I am going to have to leave my son for a couple of days. But I have to be there for my mom.I wish I had a magic wand that I could wave and make everything better.
Even though I have only been through one deployment I know it has made me a stronger woman.Fot this I am thankful.Otherwise I think I would be a basket case.
Thanks for listening.....I just had to get it out of my system.
My mom had her hysterectomy and the doctor also removed 3 lymph nodes. He said that the left one he removed was swollen and he said that concerns him.Hopefully we will find out the pathology results tomorrow and hopefully he got it all.He also said she had 3 hernias which he repaired. He also said he bumped a nerve in her left leg so it will be weaker when she tries to push off with it.Physical therapy is coming tomorrow to show her some exercises she can do to strengthen it.
She is feeling pretty good and has been walking around.
I will keep you posted.
