Is a PITA!

DH got his yesterday and now I'm going to be all worried about me and Alex getting sick for the next month or two.

I'm sure I'm worrying more than necessary but it's stressin' me out and I really don't need that right now. bleh.

I'm sure you two will be fine. Sometimes we just need to be reminded to take deep breaths. Hugs!

Yep. Deep breaths. It's just been a looooong week. The smallpox vax was the icing on the crappy week cake lol.

I worry about Alex getting sick mostly, i couldn't stand for her to be as miserable and sick as it would make her.
but i'm sure we'll be fine.
Dh is being super careful to make sure we don't get sick.

DH's doctor gave him some extra water proof bandages, and he said it was fine to wear those until the scab came totally off.

Yep, he got the big handful of bandaids, plus we had some already, so we should be good in that department.

You'll be fine. I remember going through it with my husband. Just dont touch the area where the vaccination was injected, Make sure all bandages are put in the trash without touching other things, and (this is probably a crazy one, but my husband felt better when I did this) keep his dirty clothes separate from the rest and wash them separate.

You're dh will probably also get a anthrax one...and you have to take the same procations.

My husband had his done about a month before I joined him overseas and I never got sick. He still has a scar though, smaller than a dime it's still pinkish. This was from June.

If he's due for any of that when he gets back I'm sending him to his friend's house and they can be sick together.

I'm sure you'll be fine. I got the flu vaccine and a Hep B shot in the same 7 days or so and I was worried about it but had no real effects.
