I live on base.
We shop at the commissary every week. The prices at the two closest grocery stores are ridiculous and actually have LESS choices than the commissary (and this isn't the nicest commissary I've seen by far!).
I stop by the BX a couple of times a month.
We use the base gas station only since it's the cheapest unless I want to drive 15 minutes out of my way.
DH loves the Shopette/Class 6. Ha ha.
We eat at the base enlisted club for lunch (meet up with DH) a couple of times a month.
I use the housing play structures some (the one by us is very old and not toddler safe in the least bit), but we do frequent the big main base park and play structure.
We don't use the clinic much. DS has yet to be seen here and I'm on standard and get my care off base.
We participate in Friday night O Club events every couple of months (yep, I totally put my toddler on my back and join DH for an hour or two).
When we live on or near a base, which has only been at two units, I use the commisary, dry cleaner, and pool. I think in Hawaii we used more because we were by an Air Force base and they have EVERYTHING.
