Is/was your parent(s) in the military?! What branch?! Did it make being a military wife easier?!

-----------
My step dad was ... but it was before my mom married him. So I had no idea what I was getting into when I married Joshua.

My dad was career Navy - he was an HM. So the military is all I have ever known.

My dad was Air Force but got out when I was about 7. So I don't really remember much.

Neither of my parents were military, my step dad was navy long before he and my mom got together.
ButMy dad was a civilian that worked on a sub base so I grew up in a largely military area with lots of navy brat friends, so I had some basic understanding of military life. I actuallyalways swore military spouse life wasn't for me and I wouldn't marry military. And I didn't, technically lol. He joined the army after we'd already been together 5 years and I'm ok with the lifestyle now.

My mom is an AF brat. She swore up and down that her daughters wouldn't marry military.

Technically my DH wasn't in the military when we married. He was inbetween Marine and National Guard. Signed up about a year after we wed.

I am not a military brat, but my dad was in the marines and was in WWII.He was quite a bit older than my mom and he was 48 when I was born.

DH was in the guard and the navy before we got together. When we got together he was not in the guard. But then he got back in about 7 months after we started seeing each other.
