Is your husbands unit having a Christmas Party this year? IF so, when?

The Christmas Party is my favorite part of the holidays (other than watching my son open presents). The party is scheduled for the 18 and the theme is Winter Wonderland! It's a pretty big deal to the unit here. My husband said they spent $7,000 on the venue and food... and another $6,000 on door prizes!!! I'm pretty excited!

Nice!

We were suppose to have ours today. We won't be making it due to the snow. If we lived in the same town he trains with we would go. I was hoping that Ellie would sit on Santa's lap this year but looks like we will wait until next year.

The next two weekends will be spent traveling to and from Cancun

DH's unit is odd as it is 1/3 military, 2/3 civilian. They are actually doing a decent party this year and for the first time I am going (though this will be the 3rd year I have also worked at the unit) as it is during work hours and not at night - we live a half hour+ away and I don't want to drive just for a party with work people

There is a separate adult and kid's party, but it's not like it matters as this CO is totally against any booze at any party, even though the lowest ranked person who can be assigned here is an E4 and with the way the CG is going it is taking three years to make E4 so I don't think a single soul stationed here is under 21.
