I was just wondering, we had a party when our guys came home. We decorated the barracks for the single Soldiers, and when they all came home we were all waiting in the gym for them to come running in. When they finally came in they ran through a bunch of smoke and the music playing was "We Are The Champions!" Then they got into formation and we all did the Pledge Of Allegiance, and a prayer. I will never in my life forget that day and how Proud and Glad I was to have him back home!

Any stories?

Ahhhh that was sweet. Dh doesn't deploy anymore cause of this current assignment, but in the last assignment he was always gone and his homecomings were never that cool. They deployed in small groups of 4-6 and when they came home it was usually in the middle of the night on a commercial flight and it was just a welcome home in the airport. There was never a group welcome home or a welcome home by the base. That is cool that you have such a great memory.

When Dh got home from his last two.> they came in on a commercial flight as well. the command ordered us not to go to the airport.. I hate his old command.. So the got back around 4 -5 in the morning and the command had a thing where there were playing music and had signs.> But it was dumb..
