Anyone participate in one?
One of my friends just told me about this mommy club she belongs to. It's called Moms as a Career Club, for
SAHM/WAHMs but they also welcome moms who work outside of the home. They have monthly meetings, two MNOs (Moms Night Outs) a month (one at a restaurant for dinner, and one at a member's house), playdates, scheduled activities in the community, book clubs, family functions, etc. I think I'm going to join! It's a non for profit club, with a $20 yearly membership fee that goes towards the cost of having the meetings, supplies, crafts, snacks, etc. My friend is hosting a playdate at her house right before Thanksgiving, so I'm definitely going to go. You can attend 2 events before having to pay the membership fee.
They have an upcoming event where they're touring a new local donut shop, and for $1.50 each the kids get to make, ice, and decorate a donut.
They also have special playdates that are just for children 3 and under, of course older siblings are welcome to come too.
I'm kinda excited!
