THe lady called me back about that mortage company office job I was telling you about.

Well it's Monday-Thursday 5-9, $10/hr. Im not sure if I want to take it. Because I told her that I have a class starting mid-July that runs Tuesday and Thursday nights. Well she told me that I could work get away with "skipping" one day of work, and just making it up on Saturday. But she told me I couldnt miss two nights.

Im feeling like this isnt a good idea to take this job. My education is more important at this point.. and they arent being very flexible!

--

Oh and I figured it out... with this job I would be making $160 (pre-deductions) and at my current job I only work 3 days (8 hour shifts) and make $170 gross.

So what should I do? What would you do if you were me?

that a tough situation. If the hours won't work with school I wouldn't do it, like you said your education is more important it will get you a great paying job when you are done. If it was me I would just keep a look out for other jobs and maybe you will find one that fits your scheduale better.

Good Luck!

I would look to see if I could take those classes in the day and if not then that job would be a no go for me.

Uh, I wouldn't.

You make coffee and doughnuts! Why would you trade that for a job without flexible hours that's probably wayy harder? Now, I know that it isn't easy to deal with the idiots who you have to service, being that I was a taco and burger girl for a year and a half... but c'mon! It's free coffee and doughnuts and you get decent pay!

I'd stick with the Hortons.

I wouldnt do it your kinda in the same boat as i am if work ever got in the way of my schooling i would have to quit i love where i work and everything but its a job and im going to school to get a career just like you are. So thats my say unless she will let you work part time or something. My work is having a hard time scheduling me when im available but they are so flexible with my school schedule i dont want to leave even though they are only putting me on the schedule 1 day a week

I would stick with Hortons too.
You would be at this new job, more hours, and skipping out on the schooling for $10 a week. Thats dumb.

Plus, the free donuts and coffee would be gone!!
There is your $10 extra dollars a week right there!

If your education is more important and they aren't being flexible now- they never will be. Stick with your current job and go to school!

Yeah thats one thing I love about Tim Hortons...you can take off whenever, and they are VERY flexible to your schedule. Right now my schedule is EXACTLY how I want it.

I know a $10/hr job looks better than minimum wage, but.... 4 hour shifts suck...they dont make you any money.
