Okay, I wanted to find something that I could do at home so I could be with Alyssa, and because I knew that if I was only making minimum wage and I had to pay a sitter I wouldn't be making much in the first place. So Curtis and I decided that we'd deliver newspapers lol, that way we can go in the morning and deliver them before he goes to work and take Alyssa with us.. we'll be making about $800 plus tips just on that.. Then, I though maybe I could take a kid or two in to babysit, I put an ad on our local website and within 10 minutes someone wrote me back.. she has a baby girl the same age as Alyssa and she works as a nurse part time doing 12 hour shifts, some during the day and some at night and she needs someone to babysit starting in August.. I'm meeting her next week.. I'm still looking to take in one more kid, hopefully an older one..

My question.. what do you thin kwould be fair to charge her for 13 hours of babysitting? I don't want to overcharge her but I want it to be worth my while..

well I have never babysat before but I know when skylar was in daycare it was pretty much 20$ a day and she was there for about 8-9 hours so maybe you should charge her 30-40 dollers a day

Maybe look in to what babysitter's charge in your area and go by that.

I would say 30 bucks a day.. but it also depends on whether you're going to be supplying the food, diapers, ect.

My friend babysits and charges $3 per hour, and I think that she has the parents supply diapers and such, but if they want to bring their own lunch then she charges lower, and if she makes their lunch she charges more, to cover grocery costs. BUT that would be like $117 per day!!! So I'd look into what daycares around you are charging and make it a little cheaper. But then again you are only have 2 kids to watch, and it's not like your really competing with a daycare, KWIM?!

Whoa! Your math is messed .. that would be $39/day .. not $117.. The daycare I looked into charged $30 for like 8-9 hours, so that actually might not be bad..

I pay $107 a week for daycare for Logan. The daycare provides formula to babies who are FF fed. They are open 12hrs a day. Logan only goes from 8:30-3:30 and I come for an hour in the afternoon to feed him myself.
