I'm not much help, but I will have Caiden in a high chair until he can sit and eat a meal without it becoming a battle to make him sit down. If she can handle sitting and eating with a little tray, and not wandering, then she would probably be ready to give up the high chair.

It depends on the weight limit of the high chair. Matthew used his until he was about 14-16 months old, then we got him a booster seat with a tray. Could you get Dakota one of those? I think that may be a little easier than a tv table, that way she couldn't get up and play while eating. I plan on using Evan's high chair until he's at least 18 months then will probably use Matthew's old booster.

I don't have a high chair yet, but I think I will keep Sam in one til she is about 2...the table we have is like a bench table and I don't want her falling from it...then the table I want to get is sorta like a bar table and it is high, so we will either have her in her high chair, or get her a booster seat. But I say til they are old enough to stay in one spot and not take their food else where.

ya it depends on the limits of your chair but the booster seat ones sound like a good option for you not as expensive as a high chair but still keep them belted down

Madison has never had a high chair. We just never had to room for one. So I bought a booster chair with a tray that straps on the chair. She still uses hers today

We actually just put Dominics in the garage last week. He just sits at the table now. I would look into the booster thing, sounds like a good plan.

I agree with this. Ayden has a little Winnie The Pooh table set that she likes to eat at. She's been sitting at it and eating without getting up and down since she was about a year and a half.

I used to have a plastic "little tykes" table with blue chairs. I loved that table.

Nik doesn't really use a high chair that often unless we go out to eat, but I'm going to be trying him in the booster seat within the next month or two. I usually feed him in his walker. So I guess I'm trying to say 16-17 months?
