It made my local news tonight. I couldn't believe it. Especially the fact that one of the girls was so desperate to get pregnant that she had sex with a 24 year old homeless man.
I'm not that surprised by it though. I knew a couple of girls back when I was a sophomore who all made a "pact" like that. Thank god only one of them got pregnant. It just makes me sad, and I really don't think this is going to help the "teen mom" image.... more people are going to think that we ALL try, when quite frankly the majority of teen pregnancies aren't planned. Anyway, before I go off onto a tangent, I think those girls have no idea what they just got themselves into.

This kind of thing gives teen moms and young moms a horrible image. It makes them look super immature and that's why us young moms get harped on endlessly. What do these girls think, that being a mom is cake walk and it's all cute?! They should all have 48 hours with a colicky, screaming, 2 month old and see if they still think it's all fun and games

thats just wrong! but I would believe it ... teen pregnancy rates are rising, and not long after I left my highschool at least 4 more girls (waaay younger than me) got pregnant. And before me were at least 3 others

wow..those girls are goin to feel really stupid when they get covered in stretch marks, the baby gets sick, they're up all night with a screaming baby, gassy baby, having to plan EVERYTHING not just being able to get up and go out you gotta pack the diaper bag get the stroller ready etc. finances. sure the baby shower is fun and the baby clothes are adorable and its fun to set everything up but they are gonna be in for one hell of a shock once the baby gets here.

Wow!! So are they all going to make a pact to work at the same place to support these kids?! Insanity!! I am shocked they are all under 16, they really must not understand the hardships they can and probably will run into. Good luck to them, their children and their parents.

I can't believe this. Many girls don't know what you give up when you have kids. I think that they should have to take a class while in high school about babies. They have those dolls that are based off real babies. you have to feed them, burp them. change their diaper, and they get fussy. I took that class in high school and kept the baby for 4 days. I learned a lot.

These dolls had no affect on girls at my school. We have PD once a week (personal development) in year 10 you get the doll for 2 nights. Now because I left in year 9 i only did the parenting class in pd where you get the doll because I WAS pregnant already and my head of house thought it would be apropriate anyway i remeber the girls used to get it and dress them up when they got hungry you just sit the nappy on their head and dont have to hold them. They thought it was the ebst thing to dress them up and that. What do the dolls do? Their nothing like a real baby beside needing feeding every 2-3 hours no real baby is satisfied with a nappy on the head.. You cant take babys out to partys or down the street with your mates. To me the dolls are a waste of time honestly and leave girls thinking its cool tod ress them up and show them off kwim?
A couple of my friends and I were thinking about aproaching the local high school and talking to girls from year 8-10 about what we went through and go through with the babies every day try and talk some sense into them you have no idea how many girls that age are pregnant or getting pregnant these days
On purpose!!

I took that class in grade 11 though, we had the same dolls and lotsa girls just stuck the diapers on their mouths and the baby was also programmed so you knew when it was gunna happen (unless you were unlucky and got the colicky one )

My best friend took that class for the first semester of our sophomore year. She HATED those dolls. She still ended up getting pregnant right after the class ended (although her BC failed; her daughter wasn't planned). But she was so pissed when she found out. It turns out about 7 girls in that class that semester got pregnant within a few months. We started calling the dolls the Pregnancy Curse dolls.
