Hello Ladies! I hope you all are doing well. I still lurk all the time but rarely ever post here.
We are buying a home here in our hometown. I'm also starting LVN/RN school in the fall at our local community college. Bryson will be going to church daycare (mothers day out) for 3 days per week and I have another lady from the church watching him mondays, fridays, and mornings and afternoons after mother's day out. My degree is 2 years, so depending on josh's deployment (however long) we are looking at an extra 6-12 months apart on top of the deployment, which we can handle. Josh will be reenlisting (if they accept HIS terms) in Iraq, for 3 more years. He wants a stabalized 3 years after Iraq at Fort Hood which is 2 hours from our hometown. That way he can come home on weekends without having to take leave time.
I am so pleased to report that I have fallen in love with my husband all over again. Being away from the army and stress of that life has really made us appreciate each other and the fact that we are proving the statistics wrong by getting married young and STAYING married. We have resolved all of the issues that plagued our marriage a month ago. He has really stepped up as a husband and a father. We are ready to buy a house, get this deployment over with, and start a new chapter in our life (with lots more $$ once I graduate!)
Bryson is doing well! We are a little worried about his physical development though. He is still not walking, or talking. We have an appt with the pedi once we get back to el paso to talk to them about what's normal for a baby born 5 weeks early. He still has a nasty rash that he has had for 4 months now, and we've boiled it down to some sort of allergy. We also have an appt with a dermo/allergist when we get back as well. We're thinking it's wheat/glutton. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst, because it always seems to flare up when he eats those products. He is (almost) 14 months old and pretty much catching up with himself size-wise. He is around 23lbs and over 30 inches tall. His mental abilities really blow my mind sometimes though. He can do 3+ puzzles with ease, in as little as a few minutes. His smarts are sometimes too good for his own good though, because he has successfully learned how to crawl out of his crib at night, even AFTER I took out the bumper. I have to layer pillows down all around his crib at night just in case he decides to crawl out, because we are not ready for a big boy bed yet.
We have X short weeks until Josh deploys. It is bittersweet because while I will love moving back close to family, it's really going to tear our family apart having daddy gone for 12-18 months.
Aw, I'm sorry that he has to leave you guys, I can't imagine how hard that is
But I'm glad that things are going well I'm going for the same course here hopefully next year! I wouldn't worry too much about Bryson, but it's always good to get a check up just incase.

Thats wonderful that you two have worked through your problems, I hope you continue to have a great married life together. Also YAY!!!! for getting your first home...I bet you are super excited. I hope you guys can figure out what is going on with bryson and that its not anything bad. Maleah still isn't saying very many words and she is 16months so I wouldn't worry about that too much.
Im glad you have worked it all out! Congrats on buying a house! I hope all is well with Bryson, Dominic didn't say his first word until 16 months and it was "Hi" So, I would'n't worry to much about that. Let us know what the pedi says!
Glad things are working out!!! So are you buying a house AFTER he gets back?! Cause you said your moving back by your family whiles hes gone...correct?! Just curious!
Congrats on your new home and school! I'm glad you guys got everything worked out, but I'm sorry he has to leave so soon.. As for Bryson, I wouldn't worry too much, my friend's little boy is 22 months and just started talking now.
No Ashley, we'll be buying here in the next few months. I have a Power of Attorney so it doesn't matter if he is here or not, he trusts me to make a good decision!
I'm so glad things are looking up for you. That is so wonderful. I know what you mean about having your DH deploy. For me, it is also bittersweet. He is leaving for basic May 28th and then goes straight to OCS (no time home at all) for 12 weeks.. then he has 2 other 6 week training courses & 3 weeks of airborne. All the time put together is around a year. I'm sure we'll get to see him a bit here and there - but just knowing he's missing so much of Maddox's first year of life breaks my heart. But at the same time I am so proud of him for getting accepted into Officer's school I am so happy Maddox will be 9 weeks old when he leaves though.
I hope things continue to go well for you hun!

I'm so glad everything's going well for you sweetie! Yay on the house and good luck with nursing school! I'm sorry he's leaving so soon, but I am so happy to hear that you guys have worked things out and everything's going well. That's awesome to hear!!
Try not to worry about Bryson. It's actually pretty normal for boys, and to me it sounds like he's right on track. Joshua babbled for a long time, and he didn't actually start fully talking in understandable sentences until about 6-7 months ago, and he's a month away from turning 3. I was really worried about his development but the pedi said it was normal for boys to take a long time when it comes to talking. As for walking, try not to worry about that either, actually a child can be anywhere from 9-18 months when they learn how to walk and that's the normal range. Joshua was 13 1/2 months ish when he started walking, and even then it took him a bit to get the hang of it and walk well. I would get worried if he was older than 18 months and not walking yet, but I think he'll start walking soon. He sounds like he's on track for development, Joshua was like that with the puzzles and creating lego castles when he was that age; sounds like Bryson's just taking his time with the walking and talking. Try not to worry too bad, I think he'll be fine.
Glad things are working out for you, Congrats on RN school and the house! and wishing you all the best while he is gone, and when he returns.
