Well, in Mid April my old high school is having prom, and I was invited to go with friends and my DB (he graduated from there last year, but also wants to go). I'm not showing much now, but I've got a bumo under the dress I bought to wear. I may just be a little self conscious, but it's almost enough to where I dont know if I want to go.... I was wondering if anyone else went to prom or homecoming or any of those while pregnant, and how it went. I dont let people get to me, but I dont want to have to deal with unwanted comments or glances all night either.... I guess I feel stuck.
How was your experiance if you went or have been in a simular situation? Did you still enjoy the night?

I'm not preggo anymore but my friend who will be 8 months pregnant whenever prom comes around and she's going. She's totally happy with it and a lot of people find a pregnant person in a dress very cute. As long as you don't let things get to you, you'll have plenty of fun all on your own. Good luck!!

I didn't go to my junior prom cuz I had a 4 weeks old baby by then. But my school also had a fancy Valentines dance that was sort of like a prom and I went to it when I was like 34 weeks. I was nervous too, but I felt a lot better once I found a dress even tho I felt like I looked like a big blue blob. I'm sure there were kids - and especially chaperone parents - who looked at me like "OMG, look at her." Anyhow I went and I had a great time, and hardly anyone said anything except how they loved my dress. Don't worry about your bump - you'll be surprised how many people will tell you they think it's beautiful. (And it is. )
The only problem I had was I wore high heels cuz I'm really short, and my feel swole up so I kicked them off then couldn't get them back on. The main thing is I had a great time. So I say go and don't worry what anyone else thinks or says, just have a good time. And wear comfy shoes.
Good luck!!

You're only going to have prom a certain amount of times and after you reach a certain age there is no way you will get that oppurtunity back. Don't let other people ruin it especially when you don't even know if someone is going to ruin it or not. Go have fun and I'm sure it will turn into a night you will want to remember forever if you make the most of it! Goodluck
Our "proms" - they're not called proms in Ireland, are held about 6 months after leaving school. My sister was 3 months pregnant when she finished school, didn't tell anyone from school she was pregnant, moved away with her boyfriend for the summer, her prom was held when she was 39 weeks, she went along, surprised everyone, had the best night of her night. Everyone was delighted for her (including the nuns who ran the school), told her she looked beautiful and not one person said anything bad or looked at her in any funny way.
My girls will be 6 months old when my prom is held, but one of my sisters has invited me to a formal event in her college in my when I'll be about 36 weeks. I can't wait
I wasn't pregnant in High School. But I skipped my JR and SR prom for other reasons. I've only been out for 2 years [in June], and I wish that I had just stuck it up and went. If you have the oppertunity to go, I'd take it, and have a GREAT night! You only get so many chances, and after that, thats it.

I wasen't pregnant in hs, but I say if you want to go don't let anyone or anything stop you.
I went to a formal at school when i was pregnant, I think I was 25 weeks at the time, and I had a good time. It was all the same people I saw in classes every day, they all knew I was preg.
