I just got back from the hospital about an hour ago and decided to update you all on how things are going. Well I was right my water did break. I was in shock because dontrell wasn\'t due for another 5 weeks. Anyways My labor was 14 hours long. I had a vaginal birth. My doctor didnt want my blood sugar to be high for to long so he gave me some medicine to speed up the contractions. I tried going natural, but I couldnt take the pain anymore so I got an epi. And It helped out alot. Dontrell was born June 24th @ 5:07pm , he weighed 8.6lbs , He\'s still in the hospital though. And won\'t get to come home for atleast a week. Because I had alot of high blood sugars during my pregnancy, he\'s used to a high sugar. So now that he\'s on his own, he\'s always low, his body can\'t produce a high enough sugar. They don\'t know If he\'s going to be a diabetic yet. But so far things are looking up and he should be just fine.
They started off testing his blood sugar every hour and now that he\'s doing better they check his sugar every 12 hours. He had an IV in his arm but they had to take it out because his arm turned blue and they could only put so much glucose through his arm. They shaved most of his hair off so they could put the IV in his head. But they didnt get it in, so they put the IV in his tummy. Today his blood sugar was really good. And they\'re going to start him on milk soon so they want me to start pumping to get my milk in. He\'s under the warmer and has his color back finally, and he\'s breathing on his own.Hopefully he\'ll get to come soon.. I\'ll update you all even more later. I\'m just very tired right now and I\'m going to take a nap.

congrats! What a big baby for being 5 weeks early!!
I hope you can have your little boy home soon,,, Brody also had low blood sugar when he was born but he didn't have to stay in the hospital any longer, just as soon as he was born he had to get supplemented with formula for the first 24 hours.
