me n matt both like the name Peyton but no one else does and i don\'t mind changing it. i\'ve found a lot of names i like but matthew won\'t consider anything! (and he says its too late to change it...which is silly!)

i think i should get to pick the name since i\'m carrying him and i have to go through the pain i should get to pick but he doesn\'t care!!!!

To be honest im not to keen on the name... If you and Matthew dont agree on the same names why don you choose your sons first name and he can choose his middle name or the other way around. Im not to keen on either of the names Peyton or Micheal but they do go well together lol.

When you said Michael I thought to myself "Peyton Michael" and it didn't sound right lol, but then I thought "Michael Peyton" and I like how that sounds... But if you don't like the name Michael then I guess it's out of the question

You know what girl? People HATED the name Dontae, I said *f* them cuz itz my baby and he is coming outta me. I do hope you don't change the name cuz someone or some ppl don't like it. But if you do change it, make sure its something you and bf can agree upon! Good luck and let us know how that goes

i told him peyton matthew would be ok!!! but he said no. hes just really stubborn! i think we both should agree on BOTH the middle and first name. it doesn't matter that i picked peyton because he doesn't wanna consider any other name so i don't see what the big deal is?

That's what Jimmy and I did. He picked the first name (I scammed out and picked how it was going to be spelled) and I picked the middle name (which has been changed a couple times).

If no one else likes the name but you two do, then go on with it. It is your child, afterall.

Make a list of names. Say them aloud and then yell them together (ike he's here and in big trouble (Peyton and potential middle name). If it rolls off your tongue when you yell it and it sounds good to you, then that should be his middle name.

That's what my mom has always told me to do.

DF and I had the same problem (not agreeing on names). What we did was:
I made a list of 10 names I liked and arranged them from my number 1 fave to my 10th fave and DF did the same. We looked at each others list and crossed out the names we HATED. The names that were left on each list we discussed and from that we came up with a name.
It's a thought!

thats a good idea...but i made a list and he won't consider ANYTHING!!! he won't even make a list cuz hes set on michael. its so annoying i hate it. i'm about to tell him that i'm the one having this baby so i'm picking the name if he doesn't like it too bad! lol

You should tell him that at least you're trying to compromise and if he's not willing to do so that you're going to name him WITH or WITHOUT his consent because that's not fair that he won't even CONSIDER other names. Sorry but you should tell him he's being immature because how he feels about other names is how you feel about the name "Michael" so being the mother, why should you name your son a name that you absolutely hate?
