I'm looking into cars right now and some are REALLY great prices, but then I find that they are manual (stick shifts) I can drive a manual, I mean I get how to do it, but I'd rather not have one because it's easier to drive automatics and what if I need to reach over and give Remy something kwim? Or I need to do something but I can't simply because BOTH my hands are occupied. I know both your hands are already supposed to be occupied for being on the wheel but come on Well anyways, I drive with one hand and it's frustrating that most of the good sales are the stick shifts

Would you rather have a manual or automatic? BUT what if the manual was cheaper? I hear insurance prices are cheaper for women with manuals also, at least for Minnesota.

I noticed that too. Manuals are always cheaper...and well I can't drive one I've tried to learn but I can't get it and start crying. We are looking for a cheap car for me(under $700) and are having major problems because most are manuals...i totaly know what you mean...

The only stick I drive is in the bedroom
OMG TOTALLY JOKING HAHAHA!
But yeah I feel what you mean I only like automatic as well. Better and has more advantages. I feel like I am in a motorcycle sometimes when in a manual car lol

if you can drive it and its cheaper go for it!!!

its not like you're constantly shifting! so you wouldn't have to worry about not having 2 hands...only when you shift which takes .5 seconds! haha

i'm one of the few girls around my area that can drive it! woooo!

I drive an automatic. I can drive a stick, I'm just not comfortable doing it with Joshua, because I usually need a hand free.

Yeah see that's what I'm thinking - I can drive a stick but I'd rather have the hand free to tend to Remy so it sucks

automatic. I feel like I can brake a whole lot quicker and easier without worrying about damaging what's under the hood because I didn't switch gears first.

Over here *most* people learn to drive in a manual. Manuals are the norm for cars (as far as I'm aware) and they are cheaper to buy, insure, etc.

If you can drive a stick and its cheaper to insure for you, and cheaper to buy, then I think you should go for it. But if you don't feel comfortable driving it (i.e. dealing with Remy while your driving) then don't!

Go for some test drives, thats the only way you'll find out
