The past few days Ive been having some cramps, pretty bad but nothing intolerable, Ive also noticed that my discharge has been super thick but I just really havnt thought anything about it, prob because I started my BC....I had my period last week and I know you can have break through bleeding but this just doesnt seem normal. My stomach and back are hurting and Im bleeding, its not all that heavy but heavy enough for a pad and its not like my period, its small clots and (I know it sounds wierd but) strings of blood. I just dont know whats going on but it kind of has me worried, maybe Im worrying over nothing but I cant help it. Anyone that can say anything to help, its much appreciated.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I passed some tissue last night and more clots I woke DH up and told him what was going on he stayed up with me most of the night, Im so lucky to have him. I called the DRs office this morning and told them what all was going on. I was told to take the pain medicine i got for my c-section and to give it a few days. First of all they are crazy if they think Im going to be taking pain meds while Im taking care of Mahayla and what is it Im supposed to be waiting for?!? Im so irritated with them! They said its prob just my first period, and that when I bled before (for 6 days having to change a tampon every 1-2 hours) that prob wasnt my real period Even with me passing the tissue they arnt brining me in and I really dont understand it. I have this feeling in my gut that wont go away and I hate it. But even if it is the worst case I would much rather let my body do its job and just be left alone. I need to get over this as quickly as possible, I have Mahayla to take care of and cant take the time to deal with this now. Im still bleeding now but its a lot lighter and not with all the clots and tissue.

I agree with the others. Is this your first period after having Mahlya?

It takes a while to get your body back to a normal state, but don't compare your periods now to your old periods, they are never going to be the same again lol!

How is it now?? Any update?

If it's still bothering you that badly, there's no harm in a second opinion.

Def. agree with the other girls but I will tell you that I had the SAME thing happen to me after having Ashlyn and the six days of bleeding may not have been your period because post partum bleeding is known to be quite heavy esp. for us csection mamas who didn't pass all the blood giving birth kwim?!
(Yes even the clotting and stringy stuff happened to me too! Yuck I know)

Im sorry you are stressing so if you're still bothered then go in somewhere. Hope you can put your mind at ease soon.

I remember doing the same after having Owen. I was terrified because the clots were so big and I wasn't sure what was going on and I was in pain. I went to the hospital and they told me my body was just cleaning everything out before trying to get back to a normal period and stuff. Hopefully it's the same for you?! Your in my T&Ps tho, hope you can find out what's going on.

If I were you, I would be going to the ER. You are still at risk for PP hemorrhage. Shame on your doctor's office for not having you come in to check you out, especially when you were saturating a tampon every 2 hours.

edited for spelling

Yes, if you've already have your 1st period, I'd do what Ashley said!! Just to be safe.
