I loved it! I did it all the time. Swimming is REALLY great for pregnant women too. I exercised every other day while pregnant and I had a very easy labor and I was in labor for about 7 hours.

Im hoping to pick up a prenatal yoga DVD this weekend.

Walking and staying in shape does help make labor easier in most cases but Im really surprised to hear your DR told you you could walk 3 miles a day. Most will tell you 2 miles at the MOST and thats only in you were really active before.

Im glad to hear good input on the prenatal yoga though, Ive really been wanting to try it!

the one i got breaks it down into three excercises for all three trimesters. So that way your not working too hard for that trimester and it concentrates on things that your body needs for that trimester. Its yoga but on a lower level and you do different excercises specialized for pregnancy. So i dont think you would have anything to worry about. Just make sure to listen to your body when your doing the work out you know? I mean if you get tired and you dont want to do the rest of the dvd then dont...thats your body telling you to stop. you know. And even a little excercise helps. Especially one made for pregos like us lol.
