Has anyone else tried it. I went and bought a dvd today and tried it. I really like it. Plus it has pilates in it too so im keeping my muscle tone as well yay!!! But im also like an excercise junkie lol. I walk 3 miles a day because my dr. said it would make labor easier lol.
Im hoping to pick up a prenatal yoga DVD this weekend.
Walking and staying in shape does help make labor easier in most cases but Im really surprised to hear your DR told you you could walk 3 miles a day. Most will tell you 2 miles at the MOST and thats only in you were really active before.
Im glad to hear good input on the prenatal yoga though, Ive really been wanting to try it!
Well i was REALLY active before. I was a gymnast and a cheerleader so ive always been really active ever since i was like two. It broke my heart when my dr told me i couldnt tumble while i was prego lol. im serious i was like....how do you expect me to stay in shape lol.
i was a dancer all throughout high school and i always said id get a prenatal yoga dvd so i could stay in shape but now im scared to do anything cuz i dont wanna miscarry! is it a really hard workout like hard on the body, and does it make you sore after like a workout should? lol cuz i dont wanna overdue it but i really want to do something to stay in shape.
the one i got breaks it down into three excercises for all three trimesters. So that way your not working too hard for that trimester and it concentrates on things that your body needs for that trimester. Its yoga but on a lower level and you do different excercises specialized for pregnancy. So i dont think you would have anything to worry about. Just make sure to listen to your body when your doing the work out you know? I mean if you get tired and you dont want to do the rest of the dvd then dont...thats your body telling you to stop. you know. And even a little excercise helps. Especially one made for pregos like us lol.
well i didnt do prenatal yoga. But i signed up for a regualr yoga class at my university lol so not only did i stay/get in shape i got 3 credits for it it was alot of fun but defenetly listen to your body it gets hard ther farther along you get, i have no idea how i made it through and almost 90 minute class two days a week lol
