And I don't know what to do!! it was never like this the first time I took them They are making me nauseous at ALL times of day even when I take them with food! and once my tummy is empty again, I start to get nauseous some more . Not to mention they make my boobs uber sore and give me REALLY bad cramps I thought they were supposed to do the opposite? anyways I can't get off them because I REALLY need to be on some form of BC right now ( though I am ditching them in December) we can't use condoms because DF is allergic.(lubricant AND latex!!) I don't want to get pregnant, because we really can't afford it the only other reason this would be happening would be pregnancy, but that is HIGHLY unlikely seeing as we only DTD 3 times last month and I haven't gained any weight.

what other forms of BC are there out there? any recommendations?

I've heard people loving their IUD's. You could try the depo shot - everyone gets different results so I would try it at least once! I would talk to your dr. too to see what would be best for you

Hi, I'm just popping in and I read this. I was really sensitive to BC pills also and my doctor put me on the Nuva ring. It's more expensive so my doctor had to prove to the insurance company that I had tried other options first. It releases a lower amount of hormones and they stay more "localized" so it doesn't affect you as bad. I like it because you just put it in and forget about it for 3 weeks, then take it out, have your period and put a new one in.

I had an IUD but I got it taken out because I had an infection. It didnt work out for me but its still a good option but since you only want to be on it for such a short period of time I would ask to try a different pill. Ask for one with the lowest dose of hormones. I have the nuvaring now and its ok, I feel fine but I can never get in in there good lol

oh no I don't want to only be on BC for that long, I just don't want to be on these BCP for longer than 6 months!!! I want to try my hand at NFP, but I am too lazy to temp/chart! so I fear within a couple months of no BC I will be pregnant and that just won't do... but thanks anyways... I was thinking of asking about a lower dose pill, but I heard they are less effective.

Not really. Progestrin only pills are less effective but if you still have a combination pill the effectiveness is still about the same if you take it correctly. I was on a low dose pill before called Demulen. I liked it, I never had any period cramps!!
