Well, he couldn't find the heartbeat with his doppler, so I got another ultrasound. We've got a healthy little gymnast in there!! (No gender was determined) Heartbeat was 144, and I've only gained a total of 1.5 pounds so far, instead of the 7 we thought when I was in uniform!!
On to the bad news,
He said that a part of my uterus is bulging in from the side, and connects to the other side, blocking the baby in a head down position, close to my cervix. He said that this could cause the baby to grow really small and that he is concerned about it. So he is sending me to a high risk doc in 4 weeks at another location with better U/S system. He also said I have a really small pelvis- which would only cause problems in labor. I only got one photo- and its not a very good one, because he printed out a TON of photos of the bulging area for the specialist but they weren't flattering of the babe!
