Do you guys have any accounts or ways to pay for college for your kids?

I am applying for this program where you pay like 12 a month for both of my boys and when they reach 18 that can collect the money. If they leave it alone it is worth 25,000 when they turn 21, and like 50,000 at 28. But of course they are going to need it when they turn 18!

weve start a college fund for the baby. My grandpa actually started it for it, but me and dusty are putting the rest of the money in it. I think its the best gift anyone could give my baby, because an education is so important yet getting so expensive.

I haven't started yet, but I really want to. I don't know if I'd get some type of account, or just do it on my own. I think I'd need to put it in a bank account that I can't access, cause even though I want to save money.. I'm just really bad at it!

My mom is doing the Gerber one for Owen. But we've also opened a savings account for him also that has $5000 in it right now. Every birthday my parents and grandparents put $1000 in it.

My fil opened up an account for Danielle called American Funds. It is really great because as long as the money is used for higher learning, it can not be taxed.

Last time I checked, she has 4600 in her account, but I am sure it is still around there. We haven't added to it for awhile...and all of her birthday money is still sitting in my drawer not collecting interest
