This girl I know has a baby and she was saying "Oh I have to make sure my baby gets every drop of her bottle because she has an eating disorder"

I think she was just glamorizing a weight gain issue. I guess she's like 5 months old and only weighs 13 pounds, which still doesnt really sound to me like shes that small. I mean Alexa weighed 16 pounds at 4 months, but shes a chunk lol.

i dunno what do u think? i know its not my business, im just curious as to whether babies really have "eating disorders"

I don't think so. Babies eat when they're hungry- I don't know how she can have one. Maybe she's just going to be a petite girl.

She may mean eating disorder in a different way, or maybe shes just trying to be dramatic but a baby doesnt understand skinny or fat. She may mean reflux??? IDK but Mahayla was 14lbs at her 4 month visit, she doesnt gain weight that fast, I atually know a girl who had a baby the day after me. Her daughter weight a little over 13lbs. Maybe its the same girl But shes a very healthy baby, just smaller than Mahayla, which is normal for HER.

idk i think she is just using the wrong name for it because likes said above babies eat when they are hungry her baby might just have problems keeping weight on or gaining. As far as i know babies cant have an eatting disorder but they can have weight gaining problems.

i say definately no....people have eating disorders because their paranoid about their weight....a baby wouldnt worry about that!

She could have been diagnosed failure to thrive and I guess its a disorder about eating but not in the adult sense. Maybe just a bad choice of words?
