How to make glass text in PSE without an action.
Example:

1. Type your word(s) in any color that is not real dark.

2. Add simple bevel and then change the bevel level to 10 (or until your text looks like sample)

3. Change opacity level to 50%

4. Simplify layer.
5. Go to Enhance > Unsharp Mask with levels set as 50 and 5

6. Go to Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap and set it at 8, 10, 1

7. Go to Enhance > Unsharp Mask again with the same levels as before.
And now you’re done! You’re finished copy should look something like this:

This is my attemp, I don't think it looks anything like yours but I tried white and pink to see if they looked any different but I just think it looks like crap. I think I did something wrong.

try lowering your bevel some. i also start out with the text really large, and then when i'm done with it i resize it to the size i need. generally i start with it about 600 pixels wide. it also looks different, more see through, when placed on top of something. i think your try looks pretty good for a first try really.

Thanks Trish! I've been wondering how to do this! I can't wait to try it with a siggy. And I also learned something new about controlling the bevels and drop shadows, I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to make the drop shadows smaller and lighter. Thank you so much!

I tried to make it bigger, with a coloured background and changed the bevels a little too. Does it look any better??
