I created my boys' valentines cards in photoshop. I used a canvas of 4 x 6 since that is what I wanted them printed as. I sent them to wal-mart to print, and they look terrible! Is there a way to downsize an image, but to keep the quality? It all looks bad, from the text, to their photos, to the images I used. Is there a better way to do this??

Thank you in advance!

I know that I'm late in replying to this and possibly you've already made the cards. Sorry! Anyway, when you're making something for printing, what matters the most is the resolution. You want a resolution of 300 pixels per inch, not 72. (72 might be the default when you open a new file in Photoshop, so you'll need to change it). Otherwise, you lose quality. Also, if you resize any of your images smaller, you should probably sharpen them a bit before you print them. Go to Filter-->Sharpen-->Unsharp Mask, then play with the settings. Hope that helps!
