Okay, I've searched the help section and I searched online. It appears that *some* actions can work in Elements, but not a lot. There process of installing them is long and complicated and I'm not sure I understand it. If you do a google search, you'll find some instructions but they are on message boards so I can't post the links.

Ok, I found a great site that explains great! Now it says I have to delete 3 caches & I cant find them (it says not to worry because on the next start up PSE will rebuild them). They are:

CategoryCache.che
ListCache.che
ThumbnailCache.che

Ok, I found this other site that gave a free download of 10 actions and I downloaded it and unzipped it & it put itself into PSE. They work, so now I'm all excited. I dont really think they're all that cool but I wanted to see if it'd move all the files into the right folder so I could follow in the steps - they didnt move. So I still dont know where to move my other actions I downloaded. Good news though is that I didnt have to delete any cache after all!!

c:\documents and settings\All users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\special effects\photo effects\image effects

Make sure your computer is set to view hidden files or Application Data won't be there.

Ok, apparently it's not set to view the hidden files because I got into All Users and it's not there At the bottom of the window it says '5 objects (plus 3 hidden)'

That's easy to fix. Open my Computer, Click on Tools and then Folder Options. Click on the View folder and look for the little folder that says Hidden Files and Folders and make sure the bubble is clicked on them being visable. See pic:

Edited: cause I can't spell.
