Is there anywhere a tutorial on how to make good shadow in Photoshop? I am talking about like, if you are making a bent photo and want a shadow underneath, how do you do it? There is the "general" shadow in Blending Options, but it's not the same...

I took ShanMomto4's siggy to use as example , hope you don't mind!

If someone could point me in the right direction, that'd be wonderful!

Julia

I always just use the BBEffects action. You can get the action at panosfx.com and there's a tut on how to load and run actions. I'll find it and drop the link in here.

Here's the link.

If you want to do it manually, you can do the shadow through blending options then right click on the little f on the layer that shows you've applied effects and choose make layers. That puts the shadow on its own layer and you can apply effects to it, like move it, erase parts of it, do a gaussian blur or distort it to make it look like a picture is standing up.

Ok, so I installed the BBEffects - thanks! - but it puts this white border around the pics when I hit "play" and go through the action.
Is it possible to somehow not have it add the white border? See my current siggy as example

Thanks girls.

I dont have the option to remove these in PSE. Is there a way to take the gray border off in PSE?

example:

How do I get rid of the border in PSE 5.0?
