I was trying to load some actions I downloaded online. The files are unzipped. I put them into the effects folder, but they are still not showing up in the program. I shut it down and tried a few more times and nothing.

Am I missing a step or can't these actions be used with my program?

Thank you both!

I followed along with the link and deleted the cache files, but it is still not working.

I get this error message:
Could not complete your request because file could not be found.

I am guessing it just won't run in elements. Also I noticed that even after I delete the cache files - once I open and try to use the action (then get the error)- if I go back and look in the cache file they are back again. I have no idea why.

Can you give me a link to the actions you are trying to load and I can see if I can help?

The main one is in this person's blog: http://www.oscraps.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4277
It is for curling photos.

I have to hunt down the other one, since I didn't bother to write down where I found it!
